This is the Western Era, the Era where consoles (Specifically the 360, which is getting most of the big hits) taste what PC Gamers have had for years, The PC's platform obsession with FPS is slowly becoming an average genre, while MMO is the icnreasing fad, eventually the same thing will happen to the consoles.

Microsoft could announce that their 08 lineup consists of My Little Pony MMO and The Sims: Working In a Mineshaft During the 1800's and people would still make posts like it was "the greatest lineup in the history of gaming" :lol:

I find it hilarious that anyone thinks a lineup like that is enough to save someone's interest in gaming.

Ninja Gaiden 2, Fable 2, and Banjo 3 aren't shooters.

Also Tales of Vesperia, Infinite Undiscovery (although I dout it will be 2008 :( ), they are both RPGs.

There are a bunch of games coming out this year that aren't shooters... Hell my most anticipated game this year (NG2) isn't a shooter... console's lean heavily on shooters this gen however there's a ton more games coming out that aren't shooters... You just have to look for em... Someone who says "all that's coming out is teh shooters".. is a VERY narrow minded gamer...

A wise decison. Gaming has become somewhat stale and unchanging for a while now.
