Manticores: Pick a Side, We're at War!!!

You admit you prefer a system but you are not close minded like all fanboys; that for me is good enough to be a gamer. What I'm trying to say is that some manticores talk like they are higher beings and see all systems equally. I don't buy that crap.

No, just in SW, where a forum exists specifcally for the pupose of voicing your opinions on games and gaming machines.

It has nothing to do with "courage" or being afraid to "fight", whatever the hell that means.  It's just that we see gaming consoles for what they are.  And that is they are merely devices that allow us to play games and spend free time.  They demand no more allegiance from us than a toaster oven or an electric toothbrush.  They are what they are, and that is highly sophisticated electronics that exist for entertainment.   It's truly sad that you think you need to fight for an inanimate object.ramey70

The point is everybody has a favorite, even manticores, and they're just too chicken to admit to themselves they have a preference.  That's the whole point of system wars is state you preferance and argue your point.

If you want to talk about how great every system is go to general gaming discussion, we're at war here, and there's no room for cowards, running around in their panties screaming I'm a manticore I don't wanna fight!!!!

Your arguement doesn't make sense. Gaming is a pastime just like any other hobby. For instance I also play golf. However, since I play golf that doesn't mean I need to commit to myself to Ping or Callaway for my equipment choice. In, fact I may use Ping Irons, Callaway Woods, and a Taylor Made putter. Each one serves a specific role to round out my total experience and fulfillment as far as the game goes. Same with gaming. Having a Wii, 360, and PS3 in my "bag" can really give me an opportunity to be totally fulfilled in all facets of gaming.ramey70

Just to let everyone know, I am now officially a manticore. I finally purchased my PS3 about 2 hours ago and I love it!

I'll defend it since there's so many lemmings on this site...:D

You're not the only true gamers here, in fact, half the time you're just spoiled brats. Not everyone has $1,250 to spare, does that not make them a true gamer? I don't support Sony, and despite all the mistakes they're making, which you'd think would be enough reason for me not to buy their system, I'm still not a true gamer if I don't waste $600 on a big black grill I have no room for in my damn room.

But at least those manticores are better than the phony ones. The ones who claim they are of your "elite," and then start shilling a product in a way that would make a stealth marketer proud. You know who you are.

Here's an idea: If you truly are "elite," and SW disgusts you so much, don't click on "System Wars" when you enter the forums. Go to GUFU or somewhere where your elitism is accepted. The manticores that aren't full of themselves, by all means stay, and lead by example.
