Saving ammuntion isn't going to win a war. It also isn't going to save tax dollars.
So you guys go out and shoot electronics? Me thinks they need to give you guys more to do.they were doing a dump-ex and using up the rest of the ammo that was alotted to them for the day....we do that with our mortars when it's getting late. but you idiots will always find something to complain about even when you have no clue what's going on.

Agreed. They really could. i also agree on this.I can't believe people are hating on this. So they decided to cap a 360 during target practice. Who gives a crap?
You guys are acting like ammo is something scarce in the military and something is happening 24/7 over there.

seriously instead of wasting those bullets and acting like fools they could be writing letters back home or actually relaxing, or if they are in full gear and out patroling why are they wasting their time doing that crap when there are other urgent matters.

Yeah, because taking 5-minutes(30secs?) to shoot a 360 at the end of target practice is wasting bullets, or preventing them from writing letters home.
Pllleease.
lolno Ever heard of target practice? You need to relax.Good to know the Tax's you pay fund the Marines to waste ammunition ... Despite being in a war.

Exactly, and 2 of those guns I don't even recognize, they probably weren't even issued ammo for them, so I sure as hell didn't pay for it, and if I did, I'm glad that I let some marines have fun.
The high level of ignorance in this thread is alarming. Those Marines are clearly doing an ammo dump in preparation toembark out of country, international laws do not allow transporting certain amounts of ammo out of country. It is also clear they are not executing any target practice, as they are firing in 3 round burst with their M4's, cycling automatic on the SAW and firing one hand with the berertta in order to execute their ammo dump.

It's not my fault you refuse to accept the truth; just because we are training doesn't mean we can't have some fun. um...actually it does save tax dollars...bullets cost money...where does that money come from? taxes. AS for that its not a matter of saving ammunition its a matter of training and finding better things to do with your time..like not killing dogs or you know passing out food and water to the many starving children over there...visiting children in hospitals whom have had their arms or legs blown off by stray american mortars, stray predator drone attacks, suicide bombers...etc but I think what alarmed me the most is that they didn't hit it more then they did...these are supposed to be marines...with the weapons they had and the amount of bullets they shot one would think they would have hit it more then they did...that alarms me that my tax dollars are going to train these guys so little.

Your level of ignorance in this matter is very high. The Marines are clearly executing an ammo dump, "better things to do on their time" is irrelevant, they are tasked with dumping ammo in accordance to orders as well as international laws and treaties in order to execute a debark. They are clearlynot doing this for recreation, a squad of military personnel cannot check ammo from the ordnance officer/chief and just fire it when they want at whatever they want, there are rules governing the strict control of ammunition.
And there are certain ways of dumping ones ammo back to the OC for use by other soldiers in the area soldiers do not get a certain amount of ammo and then every time when they must move on to a new area waste about a thousand bullets costing upwards of 500 dollars or more to the military they can turn in ammo at their local base and or station for recovery and resupply to other soldiers.I don't like how it is being done so even with no experience whatsoever it should be done my way because I am smarter than anyone in the military, my neckbeard is proof of this.WilliamRLBakerThis is the only thing I got out of your post, it's not our fault those of us with experience have tried explaining the situation to you.
Honestly, even if the lot of you were right that this is just a recreational activity (which you aren't) and they were just wasting ammunition, it wouldn't bother me. I have no problem with soldiers blowing off steam. They're over there doing a job I have no desire and no intention of doing so I can be at home, safe and sound, living the life I want. I say let them enjoy themselves.
