Both your statements are incorrect, the logistics of moving ammo across joint services is staggering, not to mention the dangers of convoy ambushes (insurgent main method of inflicting damage to US forces) in moving ammunition. In order to safeguard the lives of our Marines and soldiers, ammo-dumping is the safest course of action when extracting from country. Also the Army, as well as all theservicesdo not suffer from ammunition shortages. As for your distrubingly ignorantcomments on the Marines training, the world knows and fears Marines as the worlds premier non-mechanized infantry fighting force, to the point where our enemies claim the "Marines are crazy, they fight with a ferocity" and "Do not engage those with the desert colored camo, they are to be feared"

Saving ammuntion isn't going to win a war. It also isn't going to save tax dollars.

um...actually it does save tax dollars...bullets cost money...where does that money come from? taxes. AS for that its not a matter of saving ammunition its a matter of training and finding better things to do with your time..like not killing dogs or you know passing out food and water to the many starving children over there...visiting children in hospitals whom have had their arms or legs blown off by stray american mortars, stray predator drone attacks, suicide bombers...etc but I think what alarmed me the most is that they didn't hit it more then they did...these are supposed to be marines...with the weapons they had and the amount of bullets they shot one would think they would have hit it more then they did...that alarms me that my tax dollars are going to train these guys so little.
Also forgot to mention, the Marines are clearly not engaging in target practice as you incorrectly assume, as is evident in using 3 round burst for the M4's, full cycle auto on the SAW and one hand shooting of the AMP and beretta. They are engaing in ammo dump ops, getting rid of ammo, having fun shooting at a target randomlyinstead of the bermwhile blowing steam.
[QUOTE="Upparoom"]Older than the cave paintings.... Sorry...it was posted as a new video on Liveleak and they rarely post repeats. Either way though...it seems that there are a few that haven't seen it. I'll laugh at your analogy though since you cared enough to post.Funny, but older than the Bible.

while you are probably right about ammo dumping...
since when are marines feared and not engaged? al queda has the internet, their tales arent passed down in the oral tradition that tell of the mighty white devil and his magical skin the color of desert that is impervious to bullets.
That was a really stupid video.Guppy507
yea i was expecting like a new easy way to fix red ringed consoles and a feel good thread where i was going to exclaim something along the lines of "those crafty marines certainly are a clever bunch with their extensive understanding of electronics and creative application of knowledge!"
instead, just the usual trolling.
when i read the description i thought they had actually found a way to fix RROD. still it was pretty funny
Oh wow.. They used less than 5 minutes and some bullets to have some fun.. I could understand your rage if they used air support to bomb the **** out it, but they didnt.
Ah, I see they are giving Micro$oft hardware the proper treatment. And they still probably have their launch PS3  that works perfectly fine.
I mean, no offense here, even if foot soldiers detect faulty hardware, why can't millions of supposedly smarter gamers also?
Bullets are cheap anyway.... probably no more than $300 worth, the US Army has billions of your tax dollars to spend each year... If they used a Javelin then sure they cost an absolute fortune but bullets.... Come on... Don't be so serious.JohnF111
I would have had an abrams run it over but then you'd get "OOHH MY GOD LOOKS THEYRE WASTING GAS ALL THIS WAR IS FOR IS GASOLINE FROM TEH MIDDLE EAZT"
Wait til some of you disgusted lems take a look at the Mercury Systems QuickSilver Powerblocks...
Your tax dollars were used to buy Cell BE powered military systems too.

They'll be slightly less disgusted when they take a look at this :P

The british soldiers for one fear the US marines. It seems friendly fire is one of there particular skills ... When not shooting Xbox's of course.
[QUOTE="sherman-tank1"]Have you ever watched the movie Jarhead? No I haven't. Why?Those Marines have way to much spare time.

In short... soldiers spend most all of their time doing nothing. Yeah I know. Video games make it seem like soldiers do a lot in a short period of time.Mystic-G

I love where my tax dollars are going *rolls eyes and a facepalm* and to think my tax dollars could be going towards some children that need help but nope it goes towards this crap.
AiurProtoss
Oh geez...
hey man he does have a point, not saying they shouldn't have fun and all that but they could have been doing better things with their time

Wasn't it Microsoft who refused to sell Xbox 360s to the army in the first place?
Do you any of you pay the slightest ****ing attention to the sorts of things that get funding in this country? Or do you only give a **** about your precious tax dollars when you see some video on the internet? How expensive are those bullets? Would any of you care to comment on that?
Also, what the hell makes any of you think you're in a position to decide what marines should or should not be doing with their time? You're sitting in a bloody armchair (that is, a chair with ****ing arms) more than likely, with all sorts of entertainment at your fingertips, and you're going to bash on some marines for shooting at a game system for some laughs?
It isn't incidental ignorance that pisses me off, its the cluster-**** variety, as clearly displayed in this thread.
