Galaxy was different, but not much by a gameplay stance. Sunshine was a completely different game from the rest.

The gravity effects added something new to the game, and the level design was very different from 64. Certain segments of the game did make me feel like, "Isn't this just 64 with prettier graphics and better controls?" But for the most part, it gave a different feeling to it, especially with all the Wii Remote controls thrown in.

Sunshine was a disappointment in every single way. I'm all for a series taking risks, but the end result of Sunshine was just "good." I don't expect my Mario adventures to be just "good." I expect them to be superb. 64 to Sunshine felt like Zelda I to Zelda II.

Zelda II sucked, by the way.

The setting was different but the core gameplay remainded fairly similar (atleast from what I've played of it, which admitidly isn't much).
