nintendo said it would be out in early 2008. yet there has been zero news about this game. i bet it will be held back

Early doesn't mean January. I mean we've got the announcement and a few pics. We've still got a good month or two before we can stop calling it "Early 2008".

It still doesn't have a Release date but it is still Scheduled for Q1 to Spring 2008 and Q1 is January, Febuary, and March. Q2 is April, May, and June.

Considering we've heard absolutely nothing about it,

There's virtually no chance that it will actually release in Q2 2008.

I would think Q3 or Q4 2008 is more likely. It doesn't matter anyway... I haven't had any interest in the series since the SNES days.

I believe the official date is June 2008. I doubt it will even make it then... keep in mind, Brawl and Wii Fit have to come out.
