[QUOTE="mahjustin"] I think it's just sad that a game with so much attention to graphics and especially physics and AI is selling as well as a game that probably had less than 1/4 of the development time and cost.
Nintendophiles will say that any anticipated game is "fun" no matter how badly it scored. Look at how they defended Red Steel. They will defend this as well. But when Motorstorm flops, to them it's a complete and utter failure, they don't even stop to think that it's actually a fun game, but only for a while (like most Wii games).

Many of the people who reviewed Red Steel poorly have even said the Game if given more polishing time would have been just fine. Ubisoft had to come out and apologize for rushing red steel among others just recently.
Red Steel was flawed but it was hardly the worst FPS ever made. It had moments where it wa ssupebr and it had moments the rush job was obvious.
Well I guess the same could have been said about Motorstorm... no mulitplayer local, limited game play modes, not enough tracks, etc, made it a flop right? But like the reviewers said, it's a fun game, just not enough content, or not polished enough.
But at least they were able to update the game to give more value to the gamers. In this way I think the PS3 and XBOX360 has a slight advantage... if a game with a lot of potential had to be rushed to be released, at least they could still polish it up a bit and add some more value to the game.
So in that case I wonder what Motorstorm would score now with all it's downloadable content....
