Whoa, what's going on here? A couple hours ago Valve make a statement that they're set for development for the Wii U which they want to work with due to its sheer power, and now this? Remember what Reggie said about Wii U having an online that is much more robust than PSN/Xbox live? Connect the dots kiddo's. Nintendo and Valve getting awful lovey dovey... Isn't it sweet? http://twitter.com/#!/MarkRein/status/83671040521285632 Valve likes the WiiU -- the idea of having full Steam support on WiiU excites me quite a bit! Valve rocks!

Hmm, could just be him assuming/hoping - although if anyone was in the know, it'd be a big person in the industry like him. But yeah, that'd be awesome.

no he wouldnt, Valve is a private company is notoriously secrative about everything. he wouldnt know any better then any of us.

Not that it would ever happen anway, no console developer would ever allow a third party to run their distrobution network.

Mark should stop tweeting and start making Samaritan into a full-game. Next gen starts next year Mark! Get production rollin' since Gears is done now.

Well..obviously there won't be Steam on WiiU, wouldn't make any sense for Nintendo. But full Steamworks support, the way PS3 version of Portal 2 is? Most likely yes.

I swear if Epic or Valve in any way steer Nintendo in any direction in regards to making the Wii U and its OS, innards, etc then I'll be PO'd.

Let Nintendo make it, so long as they make it powerful enough to work on then stop complaining and make games for it if theirs money to be made.

I'm already upset that now I have to put up with a million more UE3 engine games on my Nintendo consoles now!

I could careless if Wii U has any third party support, while I'd like to have it, I'm getting a Wii U (and future Nintendo consoles) for Nintendo IPs, not for third party games. I want the console to be centered around making better Nintendo games, not just making it another platform for Epic to milk.

Valve needs to slow down and satisfy its fans with actual games. I get it, Steam is cool and all, terrific service, but give me HL2:EP3 already guys. You're making like 1 game every 3 years now!

steamworks would be huge. Steamworks would also be really great for a nintendo console because steam has an online infrastructure that is miles ahead of what nintendo has. Plus, it would great to have all the steam features like friend's list, chat, etc. It would be great if all of 3rd party Nintendo games that had PC versions in Steam could also retain their steam compatibility. The chat features, the cross-platform gaming, the auto-updates would just be great. Plus, it would save Nintendo a lot of work.

So some how mark rein Epic employee knows something about valve before Gabe does? how exactly is that possible? maybe you should accept the fact that Gabe newells recent words were praising ease of development and power of the Wii u nothing about its Online component and Mark rein made a joke about Wii u using steam completely as its online service or posting a hope that he'd like to see that? It is generally considered rude in the industry to find out a secret then blurt it out before the company it has to do with actually says anything about it...but keep plastering SW with wii-u threads and posting the twitter post...Find it odd how you have posted less of the gabe newell words about the Wii u and instead fall back on the Mark rein twiter maybe because people would notice gabe says nothing about Wii u online?

um I know mark rein said it...does that mean its true? Its a misleading if not outright lie of a topic title meant to get hits.

Gabe Newell has been praising the WiiU all over the place since E3 and its no secret he's in bed with Nintendo right now. I hardly see how Mark Rein saying that Valve likes WiiU and that he's excited about full steam support consitutes as a joke. You seem to be grasping at straws. Particurlary when I just posted the jist of what Mark Rein said on his twitter in that thread title, and then linked to his twitter in the thread without saying much else. So what issue are you taking here and why you so mad? lol Hell hath no fury like a fanboy scorn.

Um your the one grasping for straws Gabe newell has been shown praising the Wii u once and mostly for its ease of development with absolutely no mention of its Online component no hint of them handling the online component or Steam support even comming. Yeah most definitely your the one grasping for straws by saying that Mark rein epic games some how confirms as a fact that Wii-U's online is being handled completely by valve...

Keep acting face it you acted as though it was a confirmed fact in your title and thread but if I must...""full steam support incoming"" no rumor, no possibly, just full steam support incomming face it you are parading it as around as a fact and spreading outright disinformation acting like Gabe Newell is having interviews and such all over the net talking about the merits of the Wii U instead of it being just one interview or ramble about what he thinks about he Wii u...

[QUOTE="biggotorium"][QUOTE="WilliamRLBaker"] LOL you confirmed it as a fact in your title and thread post. but really you've said in this thread alone that Mark rein and epic games are in bed with valve and nintendo...so proven by their plathoria of exclusive games for steam and Wii...*shakes head*WilliamRLBaker
lol show me the exact part where I said it was a fact, lift the exact quote, I'd like to see it ;)

That doesn't look like me saying it was a confirmed fact anywhere. You're basically just taking issue with my phrasing of a title when we have limited space to make them. It's hilarious how defensive you've gotten over this whole thing too. I mean now you're grasping at straws to the point where you're trying to judge the context of interviews? Newsflash: When gaming bigwigs make comments they get posted on forums, some people like the comments, and some raging fanboys try anything they can dispute them they're so desperate and heartbroken. We already know which category you fit into *snicker*
