I'm not even close to down with Mass Effect 2 since I got it yesterday, but I might agree once I get further into the game, I'm glad IGN is bashing a PS3 exclusive.:P

Greg Miller's opinion is duly noted. Anyone who needs to preface their opinion with "Just remember, I said this..." is just hoping to avoid the inevitable backlash.

Uncharted 2 is still awesome.

For me, I agree, but its still just an opinion, ME and ME2 have more replay value and that is the kicker for me, a game that makes me want to play it over and over, but again, this is just my opinion.

This was already posted and had dozens of hate filled messages then. I expect the same from this thread. Although I agree with them this time, I would really rather prefer if they stopped making these articles. They never solve anything; just cause more problems

These two have to be hands down my top games of this gen. But Mass Effect 2 wins in my books, but Mass Effect 2 may have been placed as my favorite game of all time. But that's not dissing Uncharted 2, I think if you have a 360 and PS3, these games are must haves!

Thats not what I was talking about, read the quote chain, he asked how they can say one game is better then another, and I told him its the same way GS chooses their GOTY, they pick one game they feel is better then another, regardless of genre, had nothing to do with bashing a game, GS says one game is better then the others, that would be the GOTY, they don't tell you directly, but thats what they are saying.

This guy, just straight out said ME2 was better then UC2, the only difference is, with GS' GOTY, they don't flat out say it, but thats what the GOTY is, the game thats better then the others, in their opinion of course.

I dont agree at all. Mass Effect 2 is good but its no way better than Uncharted 2.

Initially I was wondering what exactly were they comparing. Because when you single-out two games in a duel (for lack of a better term), it's usually on a basis of comparing similar design elements. Mostly within the same genre. But it's definitely fair to think one game is better than another.

As for GS doing the same thing: that's a broad way to look at it. Every site picks a GOTY, but this article's purpose doesn't seem to be doing that. I do retain the notion that they did this to stir up the internet and generate hits.

Lol at you calling IGN "journalists". Anyway, I don't read IGN at all, I learn about there antics through other sources. IGN is immature, this article is just another example of that. This isn't an opinion, this is flame bait. An opinion from a leading site should be properly thought out, coherent, make sense, and not try to offend. This is just a joke site trying to get a rise out of system warriors and they have accomplished their goal. If ME2 is better than Uncharted 2 and IGN wanted to say that, they could have done it in a mature, interesting and proper fashion, they didn't exhibit any of those qualitieshowever because they are nothingmore thanan unfunny joke. Theres no such thing as a game journalists and ign fully admits that. They said they are just guys who write and talk about games. Anywho the ME2 and uncharted 2 thing seems very pointless in genrial. I mean both are different experiances. Of course ME2 has alot of replayablity its a freaking choose what to do rpg. In the end he writes this
