The detail in this game amazes me. Bioware has really created an epic here. What final fanasy is to scifi jrpgs, mass effect is becoming to western science fiction. This game looks like a science fiction fans paradise come to life.

And it's not on PS3. I don't think Playstation has anything that competes with this game outside of Metal GEar Solid IV.

I agree, this game may be generation defining. I still think the first was.

Also, could've done without the shot at the end... :P

that last part was unnecessary unless your trying to start something.. Anyways there are far better interesting games out there on any platform.

It will be excellent. I've never been so interested in a game universe, and I actually read the books based on Mass Effect.

The only universe perhaps on par with Mass Effect is Freelancer. Very underappreciated game right there. Never met anyone who disliked it.

Oh god, not again... I know I saw a thread almost exactly like this for the first mass effect and then it got an 8.5. STOP HYPING IT TO NEAR UNREACHABLE HEIGHTS!

Not going to lie though, I really enjoied the first one and I hope the second one will be even better.

Supposedly they are... sideworlds are more fleshed out now, with more unique terrain, vegetation, etc. I think that bodes well for the quests themselves.

I think it deserved at least a 9 and a 9.5 at the most. It was really good, but I remember thinking it had a few issues. I haven't played it in forever though so I can't remember what those problems were to validate my claim :P I let my friend's friend borrow it after I beat it and I haven't seen it since.

Yeah it looked easier on PC. But since my PC is crap I'll be getting ME2 for 360. The reason im worried is because the game seems to have a lot more combat then the last one, and if the controls are iffy again, I will get frustrated and annoyed and quit the game for awhile like the first Mass Effect.

The main advantage the PC version had was the hotkeys, which made the combat far more fluid. Supposedly this issue has been somewhat recitified for ME2 on 360, so you ought to be alright...

If you thought the controls were "iffy" then your in the minority. None of the reviews for ME mention the conrols being an issue, and I thought they were great. Are they as good as PC? obviously not but they are also not "iffy" IMO

That's why PC's are for RPG's da hot keys, however like I metioned earlier there was nothing wrong with the 360 controls.

Care to elaborate?

I was a ps fanboy, then i decided to buy a 360 but imo all the 360 exclusives sucked balls....then i heard about ME2 on E3 and how everybody was hypying it so I decided to try out the first one and it turned out to be on my top 5 list game of all times.

At the very least this game is making many improvements... BTW, what does it not being on the PS3 have to do with anything? Doesnt make it any better or worse...

The first one converted me out of the fanboy world.

[QUOTE="DaViD_99"] Yeah it looked easier on PC. But since my PC is crap I'll be getting ME2 for 360. The reason im worried is because the game seems to have a lot more combat then the last one, and if the controls are iffy again, I will get frustrated and annoyed and quit the game for awhile like the first Mass Effect. psn8214

If you thought the controls were "iffy" then your in the minority. None of the reviews for ME mention the conrols being an issue, and I thought they were great. Are they as good as PC? obviously not but they are also not "iffy" IMO

Hey, its his opinion, no need to take issue with it.

I put IMO in my post ;)

I'm a big fan of Bioware but the first one didn't really click with me. The sidequests were really bad after the citadel and I love sidequests so it pissed me off. "Shepard this is Admiral Hackett. Go to this planet in this generic building that is the same on all the other planets and shoot these generic Biotic guys". That's what it pretty much came down to. Was kind of lazy on their part. Dragon Age seemed like a much better game.
