What's better? Playing Mass Effect 2 on the PC, of course.

I'm sure you will, considering your profile shows all your games you're tracking. Oh how suprising all PS3 games and no PC games. :D . Oh and you were tracking Bayonetta for PS3.. Hurt's doesn't it. 8)

I'm a big fan of Bioware but the first one didn't really click with me. The sidequests were really bad after the citadel and I love sidequests so it pissed me off. "Shepard this is Admiral Hackett. Go to this planet in this generic building that is the same on all the other planets and shoot these generic Biotic guys". That's what it pretty much came down to. Was kind of lazy on their part. Dragon Age seemed like a much better game.Parasomniac

I'll agree Bioware could have put more time into the side quests. I really do think the other parts made up for it. If DA is any indicator the side quests for ME2 should be much better. :D

Im getting sick of all this ME PC>>>>360 crap...cant we all just be happy that we can enjoy this great game? Seems pointless to argue which version is better.

I agree although the PC will obviously have the best controls and graphics, I gaurantee I will have just as much fun on the 360 playing this game :)

The original was better on PC, but Bioware had months to polish it. ME2 should be pretty equal on both with the obvious exception of graphics, which I couldn't give less of a **** about.

for the original, that may be true as bioware could go back and iron out some of the issues. Although, I still preferred the 360 version. The sequel, being developed in tandem, should be nearly identical on both versions, with a graphical edge going to the PC....

In what way? It's being dev'd on both simultaneously, and all console games go through most of their dev time on a PC.

Bioware is very much a PC oriented developer, though they have moved to consoles a little more.

Higher framerates, better graphics, and easier control scheme say it will be better. Doesn't mean the 360 version will be significantly worse by any means.

The detail in this game amazes me. Bioware has really created an epic here. What final fanasy is to scifi jrpgs, mass effect is becoming to western science fiction. This game looks like a science fiction fans paradise come to life.

And it's not on PS3.

campzor

that last part was unnecessary unless your trying to start something.. Anyways there are far better interesting games out there on any platform.

All i have to say is LOL

Heh, if you're implying I'm a PS3 fanboy, you're wrong.
For starters, I'm pretty sure I was tracking Dragon Age: Origins for the PC; wasn't that there? I haven't updated that games list since I joined anyway, would you feel better if I updated it? I like all my consoles equally anyway and I'm currently saving up for an XBox360; which also means I have options with Bayonetta. So no, it doesn't hurt.

FFVersus13 will be the game of the gen. World map with day/night cycles. Set on Earth. With an amazing storyline. Graphics close to CGI. ME is a joke compared to that. But even FF13 is way better than ME. Its just a boring game with a boring storyline.

I really wish I liked Mass Effect as much as everyone else, but I didn't really. BioWare has an inability to make a polished product free of any slowdown or glitches and it has always hindered my gaming experience with that company. I don't think it Mass Effect was generation defining or mind blowing purely because of its inexcusable amount of technical follies.

For instance, why did I get stuck in the railing of that walkway leading up to the Galaxy Map? Why was the ending segment of the game suffering from so much slow down that it was nearly unplayable? A lot of times when the cutscenes needed to flip through multiple scenes quickly the game struggled to load the textures in time, leaving the faces of the characters blank, one-color messes.

Mass Effect 2 is going to be great - like the first game - but I can't see it being the turning point of BioWare's curse. They have the ability to make a well designed game with wonderful ideas and then they kick it out the door before it even has time to get dressed. In my eyes, only the most polished and technically sound games stay in my mind as "games of the generation." Considering that, I don't think they could ever make a game that I could ever say was that good.

the first one was boring and the storyline was terrible, i have no idea why you people like the first one so much. well i gotto admit i never finish the first one so the storyline might go all the way to poor instead of terrible . It's a wrpg so my expectation were low to begin with

anyways I don't see feel like the second one is gonna be much better but i could always be wrong

Probably going to get flamed for this, but I thought Mass Effect 1 was rather dry and boring. The dialog in that game is so mellow-dramatic, it's as if Ben Stain was the voice actor for all the characters. The only character that seemed to have much personality was Wrex.

Can't see ME2 being much different, and definitely isn't "Game of this generation"...

I have no doubts that it will be awesome and I haven't even played it yet. What I'm saying is that the awesome experience will come hand in hand with a host of technically busted moments. Because of that, BioWare game never elevate themselves to that "game of the generation" status for me.

Compared to Mass Effect 2, Any Final Fantasy IS GARBAGE. Mark my words! 10/10, AAAA, GOTY. Game of the GEN! Ooooo versus has a day and night cycle? Why is that a big deal. Get out of here! If you've been PAYING ATTENTION TO Mass Effect 2, you can already tell this game >>>>>>> the first one in every aspect. Amazing graphics, and killer attention to detail. A storyline that bleeds epic, and a sweet main character. What do you get from a derivative JRPG? Nothing, except a linear map apparently. Enjoy.

I don't believe anybody stated there was a content difference, me least of all. They are hardly irrelevant, they are reasons people may buy one over the other if they had the option (hence why i'm buying ME2 on PC, having played the 1st on PC and 360).

The PC game will undoubtedly have a higher FPS and run at higher resolutions. There may also be higher resolution texture packs, however we won't know that until it's release.

There is really no difference exept better graphics and K\M frame rate is supposed to be stable so if there no slowdown then framerate is irrelavant.

[QUOTE="Drakes_Fortune"]FFVersus13 will be the game of the gen. World map with day/night cycles. Set on Earth. With an amazing storyline. Graphics close to CGI. ME is a joke compared to that. But even FF13 is way better than ME. Its just a boring game with a boring storyline.scarface_dm

Here we Go

Have you read the FF13 reviews it says the story isnt on par with past FF games and that the gameplay is repetitive, Better than ME2, I think Not !!

He said VS XIII. What do the reviews for XIII have to do with anything?

Not that i'm agreeing with anything he said.

Enjoy.

Please lend me your time traveling machine, I want to see when Killzone 3 is released.

But seriously, that's rather high expectations for a game, no matter who is behind it.

So? That's cool for you. I said it was better for those reasons. It is better for those reasons.

I don't doubt it runs fine on the 360. It's irrelevant though.

Ultra_Combo

The PC version may be Better (for lack of a less meaningful word) but the reason brought up are in and of themselves irrelevant. There is ZERO content difference among the platforms and does anyone actually know how different the games will look?

There is really no difference exept better graphics and K\M frame rate is supposed to be stable so if there no slowdown then framerate is irrelavant.

Irrelevant even though it's better on one than the other? Hardly makes sense.

The core game will be the same, however the PC version will benefit from the more powerful hardware.

A win/win for all gamers.

I would also like to point out the fact that none of the reviews for FFXIII have said anything like that. :?

Because you will play it and realize the awesomeness that is ME2.

NAPK1NS

I have no doubts that it will be awesome and I haven't even played it yet. What I'm saying is that the awesome experience will come hand in hand with a host of technically busted moments. Because of that, BioWare game never elevate themselves to that "game of the generation" status for me.

This game seems to be everything that mass effect 1 should have been is the point. ME1 the side missiosn were crap. this game seems much more fleshed out. More attention to detail and everything in between. That's the point. Yeah we as consumers have been doing this a lot lately. LFD2 was basically what L4D1 should have been, but thats sometimes how it goes with 1st in the series to the second. USually the 2nd is the best. Look at any movie or video game. Nothing new...

EVerything i've read and seen on this game leads me to believe it will be amazing....

Bioware stated that Mass Effect 2 would be there BEST GAME EVER. And they've made some amazing games. I cant even wait, chrismas comes a month and a day later for me.

There is no doubt that the pc version will have more flexibility with the graphics settings, but that is true of any game. I just dont see why when someone mentions that they are getting it for the 360, someone else has to come in and say they are getting the "superior" pc version when they are really the same experience.

I don't understand why they say that either. I guess people like to brag a little too much.

I played the 1st on 360 and PC and the differences were significant. Apparently they've fixed the texture pop-in and load times so that'll be awesome for those playing on 360.

Developers lie. They are sales people as well as artists and they run a business like any other. You might know this if you weren't 14 and drunk to the point of intoxication with the hype of this game.

woah..that was abit harsh man.
