I wonder what they have on the discs. Dragon Age was 1, Oblivion (despite much recycling) was 1, Fallout 3 was 1. Crysis, installed is still 1. Game must have a lot of dialogue or cinematic. Hopefully this implies that there will be minimal to no recycling, less of that twin brother, twin sister npc effect, and that the campaign itself will provide a whole new meaning to epic....alextherussianOblivion, like you said, was one disc due to heavy recycling. Fallout 3 is one disc again due to a fair amount of recycling and disguising the fact that not much of the game map has unique points of interest. Crysis's levels are big, but there aren't really that many of them, plus there's limited dialog.

Who cares I like this game even more now that I know it is so huge it cannot fit on one disc
hey doesn't this obviously tell ya it's better not to buy the 360 version? It's better on the pc n meant for it. Mass effect 2 would have been better off for the ps3 becuz u would get the ultimate experience.... Uncompressed sounds n more contents .... Shoot bluray can even fit mass effect 1 on the sequal disc. The PS3 ain't getting ME2 or ME1, and even if, it would most likely be an inferior port as always.
I'd buy it anyway, though. I mean, inferior ports are usually so minimally inferior that they hardly even deserve the word "inferior" tacked in front of them.Who cares how many disk... On PC, nobody will care, since it's installed on the HDD... As for the 360, Hope people have a reasonable HDD to instal it... would be awesome if you could get rid of the swapping by installing, and getting faster loading time...
AS for those who say blu ray is needed... HELL NO... Screw the slow read speed. There a reason why so many ps3 games have mandatory installs.

Yes, waiting 10 seconds is such a pain! I could almost swap a DVD in that time!
[QUOTE="wayne_kar"][QUOTE="aroxx_ab"]you can on the 360 also. just like forza 3 That only works if the game is designed like that. Forza 3 and Oblivion GOTY are an exception because they just install extra content. For a game like Mass Effect, they're not going to want to ignore people without an HDD. Wait I thought you could do that with LO too? Install all discs and then just play on one. I would assume the same for this too. Some one correct if wrong. I didn't install Lost Odyssey but I thought that it was possible to this with Multi disc games. This

Wow, disc space is becoming more of a problem as the years go on for 360.
Not a problem at all, considering that you can install them. (I know I will be doing this.) This is great news, imo... it means the game will be meatier than most. And seriously, show me the gamer who passed up a great game because it had a one time disc swap, and I'll show you a moron fanboy. That only works if the game is designed like that. Forza 3 and Oblivion GOTY are an exception because they just install extra content. For a game like Mass Effect, they're not going to want to ignore people without an HDD. And while we're at it, I don't hear any PS3 people saying "I'm not going to use Neflix because I have to insert a different disc." donalbaneya the netflix thing is plain ridic! like wtf u have to put the disc in every time you want to stream thats stupid
And while we're at it, I don't hear any PS3 people saying "I'm not going to use Neflix because I have to insert a different disc." donalbaneProbably because its not the same situation, I'm swapping a disc to go from games to movies, disc swapping in Mass effect is to move to a different part of the same game, something people did in the 90's

I also have to get up and swap discs when I want to move from one game to another game. . . Hey also controls still have a D-pad, just like they did in the 90's. JRPGs still have turn based combat, just like they did in the 90's. Mario still controls like he did in the 90's. Nobuo Uematsu is still making game music like he did in the 90's. Akira Toriyama still draws the same looking characters as he did in the 90's. Coca-Cola tastes just like it did in the 90's. Checks still look like they did in the 90's. Alcohol still tastes the same as it did in the 90's. What's wrong with our society??????

Okay...

We've had several multi-disc games this millenia prior to the 360's launch. How soon we forget. (Maybe because it wasn't a big deal then, and it isn't a big deal now.)
EDITED!
More disks, more data, more game....But I have to move my hands and switch disks so... Im cancelling my preorder.
