I played installed, I just thought the framerate was a bit random, for no reason it would have bad framerates, not much pop in installed. I can overlook them because the rest of the game was epic. If they fix this for ME2, then we have a winner.

The pop-in is definitely better but sometimes I get really bad slowdown during combat. That's really the only problem the game has now I've installed it, I was exaggerating a little. They need to have less empty, repetitive planets for the sequel too.

I used to think the same, but it would be silly to have so many un-inhabitied planets. If they're uncharted then they should be pretty bland and empty. Most of the habitabal and less empty planets would already have been settled upon.

They said at E3 that they fixed the pop in and lag and now it runs flawlessly. :) Mass effect 2 that is

anyone else get that thing where details are delayed to show in cut scenes/ convo's? might just be my disc but i've seen it on youtube too

I'm playing it right now and I'm having a great time, the combat is better than most rpg's (I hate turn-based systems) and the dialog is fantastic

Its has a good story, characters and gameplay... but in terms of RPG i'd go with Fallout 3

It's very good, amazing presentation and great gameplay. Hopefully the sequel will have some more interesting characters though ..and a more loot, classes and stuff.

Mass Effect is a terrible game. The story is very interesting, but it's not worth the many hours of boring non-gameplay.

I bought the PC version, played it for about 5 hours (pretty much a little farther then the part where they let you choose if to kill the alien or let it free).

Basically, I stopped playing because I didn't like it. While it has RPG elements in it, it just felt more like a third-person shooter rather then an RPG and I'm just not a shooter fan. If you are a shooter fan, I can see someone liking it, but if you hate shooters, you probably won't like it.
