*Gasp* I didn't get into Mass Effect 1 right away. Mass Effect 2 was coming out and it looked amazing. I then forced myself to play #1 and fell in love!
WHy did you not like it?

i find the combat rather stiff and slow. I know most people see it as an rpg but i can't help seeing it as a third person shooter. It's a well produce game but just not for meI'm happy with this news. I'll be playing my first Mass Effect game next year (Mass Effect 2 PS3 version) and while I'm certain I'm going to like it (never hated anything from Bioware) it will be great knowing that I won't have to wait too long for a sequel. verbalfilth
Man i wish you could play the first game for PS3 also. Its so awesome having the same character through all three games. Im getting ME2 for PS3 also though :) I want the interactive comic book!!!

woot? won't get a chance to get into the franchies until january though. Me 2 and the interactive comic should be amazing :D I hear they're amazing games :)

ME 2 is great. If you have a PC, get ME 1 -- it's well worth playing, even if you won't be able to transfer the saved character.
As a Londoner I must say this. Those reapers will be sorry they messed with big ben.6matt6basically this trailer is homage to War Of The Worlds
Can I get some love for a 2012 or 2013 release date? Who's down for the game NOT being rushed?R3FURBISHED
I wont mind waiting for an early 2012 release but to wait any further will be difficult.
You can have a "meh." :P
DarkLink77
Yeah but know one would vote for it so that would be a bad idea :P

If you say so. I'm happy for the fans, though.[QUOTE="R3FURBISHED"]Can I get some love for a 2012 or 2013 release date? Who's down for the game NOT being rushed?RyanShazam

Would you rather the game be good or the game be released early?Because this is the release:
Mass Effect - 2007
Mass Effect 2 - 2010
Mass Effect 3 - 2011 (?)
One year to make a video game? Sure The Sith Lords was good(in my mind amazing), but it could have been much better.

Well im not saying i want the game to be bad or anything. I would love for them to put out the best game ive ever played.... But i would like that to be by 2012 lol. I am very impatient.

Between ME1 and ME2 it was 26 months. Between 2 and 3 it is 23-24 months, depending on if it releases in December or November. Not that big a difference...[QUOTE="RyanShazam"]

Mass Effect 1 released in November I think. ME2 in Jan, it wasslightly over 2 years. This'll be slightly under 2 years. It's not that big of a difference.
I hope the game doesn't focus exclusively on Earth. Anyway, most hyped game of 2010.

Yeah the months they came/come out might make a difference to ya'know.Nah I can't do that...I'm being very cautious about this game...If they add multiplayer its pretty much a given the game will be a complete dud in the single player area.

it won't.....guaranteed, Quarian homeworld is in ME3i thought it was funny to get a mass effect 3 trailer in the fashion that they did tease it in, they showed a snippet of the trailer for sure, but it was very decieving, lots of people were saying "oh em gee finally teh multehplayorzzz" but luckily it was mass effect 3, which im happy about
I actually had no clue what the trailer was for until they started zooming out. At first I thought it was some new side project zombie type apocalypse game and then I saw the N7 and I was like :o Oh snap.Minishdriveby
Dude i know what you mean. I was hmm i didn't know Bioware was working on another shooter. Then the guy mentioned Shepard and I jumped off my bed and was like YEAH!!!
Honestly.. So far what I hear and see im not really diggin.. On earth?.. Idc about earth.. If I want to play a game where I have to save earth from aliens I will play every other game this generation. And with the multiplayer etc.. UGH. Its just moving farther and farther away from what made the first mass effect great.. I loved the exploration of the first game.. Sure it was crude but I would have liked to have seen it improved instead of just removing it completely. And now with all this it just seems like its just going to be another action shooter and even less than a RPG than Mass Effect 2 was....

Well we dont know anything about the RPG elements and gameplay yet. I do agree that saving earth is a little cliche but there is probably way more to the story than that. I dont believe Bioware will give us a mediocre ending to a very interesting first and second game.
Heck maybe Earth will only be a small part of the game.
sweet! i play some parts of mass effect 2. i was planning on buying me2 for the ps3, im jusst going to skipp it and wait for me3 =)
hope they use a hybrid cooldown-heatsink gunplay.
bioware could actually just make the game much deeeper in general, with way more skill point options, abilities to tweak and tons of upgrades. then they just add an option for players to turn all that **** off and play it like 2. that way, bioware makes all the money they wanted off those folks who didn't want to put ten seconds of time into a menu, and they also please the people who want to play the game differently each time they replay it.
because the first game starts on earth, the final game should end there. Also, the series is about humanities place in the galaxy...which means Earth gets attacked and humans have to rely on others to prevail...Really the opposite of the first game where humans save the other species. Dice rolling is not fun in a series like Mass Effect, just put the dice away.Honestly.. So far what I hear and see im not really diggin.. On earth?.. Idc about earth.. Naw get it for PS3... From what it seems like you will be able to play an interactive comic about Mass Effect 1, then probably transfer your character to Mass Effect 2 which you can then use in Mass Effect 3... DONT skip 2 and go to 3!!! Play them all if you can!!!

Yeah that does seem like the ideal ending. Would fit perfectly

I agree with the Skill Points and abilities but being able to turn it off sounds like a bad idea to me. I know if i don't like it don't do it, but Mass Effect is a hybrid and should stay a hybrid whether people would like or not. Personal Opinion lol
I do hope they go back to the more RPGish style that the first one had.
