ok, now i have heard MULTIPLE cows say that the graphics in Mass Effect's gameplay are different from those in the in-engine cutscenes

in engine, you can see the conversation interface

gameplay, looks the same as the cutscene

It seems they forget that most western games rely on real-time renderings of cut scenes... not CGI.

This has been known for a long time. Just let the cows be in denial about it. It makes the forum more enjoyable to read. Like someone said above me WRPG's don't rely on CGI for their cutscenes.

I didn't know people were still claiming that the pics released weren't the ingame screens. After ME being shown in vids people know, the big problem is polishing now. Optimizing is probably going to fill the next few months.

To be honest if I had to roll with a Canadian game I'd hit Too Human but even that is looking like trash.

Ahhh, no no no. The TC is correct in a fashion. I remember now that Keywii questioned the old ME screens. Come on TC, it's Keywii.

ive seen 3 different cows say that they werent gameplay screens, including one that said that the graphics would look 50% worse during gameplay because the 360 is underpowered :lol:

Obviously....but the graphics really aren't all that impressive. I don't anyone says it looks like CGI, or isn't using the in-engine graphics for its gameplay and cut-scenes. The only difference, is the lighting and the character animations. Here are the two reasons for it, and this mostly applies to any good game. 1.The animations are all scripted. 2.The lighting is more cinematic.

which is why all the PS3 multiplats are said to have "horrible framerates"

not to mention Forza 2 runs at 60 FPS

It doesn't look like either franchise. It looks much more like REAL scifi.

Its called optimization and it always happens 2 months or even 2 weeks before a game is released. It is easy to fix framerate issues and graphics problems last minute then it is gameplay.
