[QUOTE="peacebringer"]thats the the thing your not understand this is EA. they can maybe work around monthly fees.

No monthly fees helps, but it still doesn't solve the problem of time. Most people in the US are either playing WoW or Guild Wars with some other games like Anarchy Online or LoTR Online taking up others..I'm not sure what they can do to cannibalize those populations, although as always I welcome a new unique entry in the market.
Thats a big IF, remember the last MMO for both PC and Xbox360? Final Fantasy XI was by no means a successful game.

Ehh, it did okay but its definitely no worldbeater.
WOW came out years ago i'm bored with it any many people i played are bored with it but there nothing betetr so they keep playing it.
[QUOTE="peacebringer"][QUOTE="Danm_999"] [QUOTE="sSubZerOo"] As a past MMO player, I can hardly see how this can be considered a certainty.. The entire MMO market is inflated, I have seen more MMO releases or announcements in the past year then almost any other genre.. We certainly do not need another MMO, inless Bioware proves to be a solid maker of a MMo, this is just another standard run of the mill mmo in my eyes.sSubZerOo
The problem with the genre; due to the monthly costs, very large amounts of time required and dependancy on a large playerbase, there's little room for many MMORPGs. Basically, another MMORPG as successfull as WoW can't really exist right now if WoW does. read my post. WOW isn;t on consoles Bioware can sweep up if they release a multiplatform Cross platform MMO. one that console and PC owners can both enjoy. Rememeber this is EA and they have the resources to help with a project like this and also EA has enough Money to possible make it free to play online too.

FF11 was made in Japan and there not well versed with WRPG and MMO's also the games were not Cross Platform, both had seperate realms and servers. and Console game with Monthly fee already spells doom. i think if EA were to make a MMO for PC/PS3 and 360 with Cross platform realms they would need to waive the Console fees and keep the PC fees. or eliminate the fees all together. or they can give you 6 months free for either copy. any casual player would be done with the game after 6 months and after that i'm sure they won't mind paying ever other month when they wanna get back into it. i don't ever think a console MMO with monthly fee would ever work. but i'm Sure EA wants to make a Console MMO.
