Mass Effect looks to be one of the most epic adventures in a long time. A lot of RPG gamers will be very happy on Nov.

Looks great, but is it just more or is the framerate meh in some of the places?

Looks great and heavily improves on KOTOR.

BUT - the combat feels rather slugish to me, all-round.

I wsn't talking abut sales and yes I know they made kotor but usally when they make something original they tend screw up some how no I think the game looks great I was thinking of Jade empire and how it sort of bombedzachdragon

even with all the amazing games released and being released this year i cant see anthing touching the gameplay, story, look and overall impressiveness of this game. I could easily see this game being GOTY 07, the only thing that might hold this game back is the unproven combat system.Big_player

I hate rpgs, but Mass Effect looks fantastic. since i don't like rpgs i'm gonna think of mass effect as a TPS:D

just finished watching the gamespot stage demo and i still havnt picked my jaw up off the floor.

the character models looks amazing and the talking animation is phenomenal. the galaxy map got a few gasps from me aswell when he kept cycling out to show how big it is. the combat has come along way since X06. now the guns look and act more meaty, the action seems more intense and im very happy with the team command and selection.

another thing that suprised me was when they said the game was finished and they were using from now until november to polish it up.

all in all my hype for this game has never been higher.

maybe, but the cool thing is that already it looks awesome and there main objective for the next few months is to fine tweak and pretty much make it as perfect as it can be.

Brilliant to hear that the lead writer on the original KOTOR is behind this game. Cant wait. :DNinja-Vox

I also love how they say the game was finished and pretty much ready to come out but they decided to hold it til november to spend months just tweaking and fixing to make it perfect. You rarely hear that these days. Its pretty much get it done and get it our, which goes to show that Microsoft have learned some lessons with Gears of War and are happy with taking that extra time to get the quality as high as possible, unlike their old habits with games like Halo 2 (which was amazing, but could have been so much more).

Anyways, i'm getting off topic. This game looks incredible. :)

LOL...NO. It has so much replay value and the storyline is driven like crazy.

Anyways anyone who is hyping Mass Effect should read this book. I'm going to buy one for around 3$ on half.com
