Which is why they dont show much gameplay footage on it.nanomecha4Let me see: BioWare showed a pre-rendered trailer of what they wanted to accomplish at E305. BioWare then gave us a trailer, and a walk-through at E306. At X06 we were treated to a new trailer, and a new walk-through. Not to mention the many screenshots they've posted. And... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DwoAvsCrN_A&NR 15FPS...
Mass Effect's one of the reasons I got a 360 and for all those other awesome games. Of course, there's a possibility that it will do horrible, so I try to expect not too much from it. But I'm a huge fan of free-roamers, so hopefully, it'll do well. I'm thinking it'll range between 8.7-9.8EtwareMS published HALO 1,2 and 3 then Gears of War and now thier publishing Mass Effect, I think MS knows when a game has serious potential to be a winner!

Now we know that there are only seven places to visit, and one of those seven is repeated a hundred times.
Mass Effect was a massive disappointment.
I thought after KotOR, there's no way Bioware could make a bad Sci-Fi game.
How wrong I turned out to be.
All of those planets to visist were just barren wastelands with recycled dungeons.
And even the main planets turned out to be a disappointment.
The Citadel was the only place that was fun.
They should have gone the route of KotOR and just have a handful of unique and detailed planets.
I hope that Mass Effect 2 corrects it's predecessors mistakes or that they develop KotOR III.

I agree with all these points.
Yes the game had some things which were less than perfect, but you're ignoring the things which were good about the game.Mass Effect was a massive disappointment.

anyone could a game seem bad by only listing its negatives.
lemmings keep bumping up old dumb topics i figure i might do the same.bigboss4658But don't you think it speaks volumes about the libraries that you chose a game that scored an 8.5 to "show those lemmings"? An 8.5 "flop" is a little different than a 4.5 or 6.0 "flop" IMO.

Except, Mass Effect was hyped like crazy as if it was the second coming of Jesus. ;)

I did mention the one good thing about the game, the Citadel.
That was the only good part of the game.
