[QUOTE="SolidTy"][QUOTE="too_much_eslim"][QUOTE="SolidTy"][QUOTE="A_zombie"] Hmm as logical as it sounds since it's EA but I would wait until the official word. But the article did bring up a point that kinda affects the rumor. How are the PS3 players gonna know the backstory to Mass Effect 2? It's like starting Shenmue II when you never played Shenmue. :|

It's funny you mention Shenmue, did you not remember your own answer?( and TC, take notice).
Shenmue came with a Bonus DVD telling the story of Shenmue 1, to get gamers up to speed. It's only one way to do it, but is possible.
Paying that much and Owning BioWare, but not being able to make more money from them is useless, so obviously EA has a plan. Whether that plan emcompasses Bioware's Mass Effect though, is anyone's guess.
yup I remember that. Fortunately I actually played it myself. However EA not bringing ME will not cost them money because most likely MS will pay the difference to keep it on the 360. Also based on Bioware track record with technical issues and them using the UE3 will only cause poblems for teh PS3 version. While, it's true that Bioware isn't really known for non-PC type hardware, EA is a multiplatform developer, with the idea that making money on all system's is the best stratagy. They aren't going to allow Bioware to be finicky with things like that.EA isn't going to let Bioware continue to only make 360 products forever, that makes no sense. Besides, Unreal 3 is on the PS3 and it looks great. The PS3 is much easier to develop on than the PS2, which had a ton of games. With the recent improvements in PS3 development, it's only going to get easier.
Also, I bought Shenmue 1 & 2 on Dreamcast, to support Sega...then bought Shemue 2 on Xbox to see if I could get Sega to make a third Shenmue. Oh well.
You don't understand. if they struggled with the 360 the PS3 is going to be a nightmare. The frame rate the pop ins where all over the place.NO, I understand. It's a technical hurdle, but one that must be overcome with their future IPs, now that EA owns them. It's the nature of the beast. Whether ME comes over, is up to the parties involved, but Bioware is just going to have to accept that they aren't a 360 dev when EA bought them.
Activision acquired Guitar Hero, and they immediately put GH on 360, Wii, PS3, DS, etc. That's how you make the money. EA is trying to catch Activision, and they aren't going to let Bioware DICTATE to them what they are going to do. That's why they bought them, EA has something inmind. Either way, this is going to be a new Bioware.
