Get ME is you like to play a good, long RPG. Get Uncharted if you like action adventure but its short (8-12 hours)
Both are good games. I recommend you rent both and check them out, then buy the one you like.
I have just completed AC. I thought it was a great game. I own both a ps3 and a 360. I'm not sure what game to buy next? Either Mass Effect or Drake's Fortune. What do you guys think? Please reply only if you have played either game!Fallerboy
I owuld go with Mass Effetcm it looks incredible, and can be played for 25+ hours, then has HUGE replayability, finishing everything could well take you above 100 hours easilly, the game is killer
Drake is a rent IMO at best
take the one that didnt flop...mass effectGOTY, uncharted, 6 hours long...PMatt722
1. Mass Effect flopped, it was hyped AAA.
2. Uncharted is 10 hours long on average according to most reviewers. Yeah if you play easy then it would take 6-8 hours but thats like someone saying Gears is only 5 hours because they beat it on casual.
8.5>8.0Eltrozdon't listen to this fool, there completely different games depends on your taste. both are amazing games.

ME is AAA everywhere else. GS is now the worst site for reviews, dont go by them
get uncharted, and play it on hard, you get 12-15 hours max, going threw it first wit out getting any treasures, and goals.
i dont see why everyone says 8 hours, when gamers should be playing games all onhard when they get them anyway. people who say 8 on sw are the people have never played uncharted.
ME is a glitchy mess

Have you palyed said "glitchy mess"?
It is indeed glitchy than most of the better current gen games. But it's still so awesome.
Buy Mass Effect and rent Uncharted. If Uncharted is an 8 hour game then what's the point in buying it over a 40 hour game?DragonfireXZ95
Uh....Yeah, Mass Effect is nowhere near forty hours--Even if you do all the quests, it's only about 20-25 hours. And like the previous poster said: 15 hours can be squeezed out of Uncharted (plus it's cover system is much more versatile).
Anywho, both games are great, so get both eventually. But go for Mass Effect first I'd say.

Get DF first so you can beet it and then trade it in to get ME. ME is only about 20 hours but has more replay value.

that "glitchy mess" is the best game ever made.

no if you do every mission and everything you can do in the game it takes about 40-50 hours.

Nope. I spent a whole day playing Mass Effect and it took me 22 hours to beat after doing just about every job.
It is nowhere near 40-50 hours. No lies please.

I agree with 'jlh47', ME is 40+ hour game if you do everything(i do take my time though, like you should with a game like this). I do not know how you completed everything in 22, IMO that's almost impossible unless you rush it. I know many people on my friends list who have finished ME and it took them at least 30, and thats without completing it 100% or even 90%. The fastest i'veheard was 15 hours but thats without any side-quests and rushing it.
[QUOTE="heretrix"]Get both. They are great games.Sollet
What he said.
Same but you should picka game depending on your take on the genre.

It is NOT 40 hours. Even the reviewers agree with me on this. The Main storyline as well as side-quests amounts up to about 25 hours. The only way I could figure you extrapolating 40 hours is by counting replays where you made differents decisions; replay value is not the same as actual length.

Uncharted got an 89.6% on GR. Had Gamespot actually posted a score more appropriate to the game. It would have made AAA--As all the other reviewer sites would agree it should.
