I'm no fanboy or ps3 basher, i really don't give a toss about all that "one system rules 'em all" boll*x but I've always thought the halo series were fantastic, quality titles with a lot of love poured into them...fair enough if the game isn't your cup of tea, but lads, that doesn't make the series bad, overrated and fanboyish just because YOUdon't like them..

personally, I think you'd be mad not to like them. but again, fair enough....and I'll even go so far as to say that, while I've never played them, UC2, KZ2 and Heavy Rain etc. do look like a brilliant laugh...that should stop all you PS3-Heads pouncing on me ;)

I play video games because there good fun NOT because there " exclusive to one system ", people need to relax about all this exclusive carry-on....Thats the point of video games (or so I thought)---to have fun

Even though I typically identify myself with the Sony fanbase, I am genuinely excited for Reach. I've never been into the Halo games. In fact, the only one I've ever played was Halo 3, and even then I only played a little of it. I never really like the Halo games. So me being even remotely interested in Reach is truly a miracle. If I can be excited for Reach, anyone can.

Truth is Halo 1 came out when there was barely anything else worth playing on the Xbox. Fortunately it was a superb game, so due to the fact of there being practically nothing else worth playing on the system, and Halo being phenomenal, practically everyone who owned an Xbox bought Halo. That built up it's popularity, so by the time the second one came along, there was already a massive fanbase waiting to play. Sony on the other hand has had many different franchises that were all very good since the PS1 days so people didn't all flock to a single game. People tended to be more spread out amongst PS1 games, so when PS2 came around, people all wanted sequels to various games. Same applies with the PS3. If God of War 1 were released on the PS1 and it was one of the few worthwhile games, It probably have Halo level of sales by now. Suprisingly though, Gran Turismo has had stellar sales all around. I guess people love their cars :P

So? I dont care how many people play that game online since well im not buying it. I looking forward to LP2 and 3D dot more on that month.

I like Halo, but I'm by no means in a rush to play the beta. I'll wait for release.

at this point if non xbox owners were so jealous of halo they would have bought a 360. halo is what it is. a generic fps that attracts the middle/high school crowd. if you like it fine. there are plenty of people who cant understand whats so attractive about these kind of games (halo, cod, killzone, etc).....*goes to play fifa 10*

You realize that caring for a game doesn't mean that you have to run out and buy a system for it. Why can't they care for it and not have to buy it? They could play at their friends house and have a blast, but have no desire to go buy it.
