I've played both betas and didn't find either particularly exciting.
I know EA will screw me somehow with their VIP pass, I just don't know how yet. Sounds like it's one part standard online pass.
The BF3 beta is the only reason for purchasing this game now. And if it wasn't for the VIP scheme, I probably would.

Not going to buy now, multiplayer looks like a less fun version of BF and 4 hours is way too short for the $60 asking price. I don't mind short singleplayer campaigns as long as they have a good multiplayer to back it up with.

5-8 hours the first time through. BC2's was probably around the same.

The campaign will probably be similar, but the multiplayer (competitive and cooperative) looks to be quite significant. I wouldn't be surprised if MoH ends up lagging in that area. BC2 had five maps at launch. And MoH doesn't have a co-op mode.

So they're trying to compete with cod in every single field. Not only noob-friendly multiplayer, identical 'themes', but also the title of shortest single-player game possible.

Black Ops actually looks like an extreme change for what I've been accustomed to, its almost like the change from CoD2/3-CoD4. Its an entirely different setting with a tremendous amount of additions in customization and overall I'd say it probably offers more difference to MW2 than MoH does now.

Of course I'm not going to judge based on the beta, I mean guys? It was a freakin beta, not a demo of the final version. The beta didn't even carry a mention of the M60 or MP7, nor did it feature many of the modes or any single player at all to go off of to judge the full game.

If this game flops, then EA will have to rely on Crysis 2 as a selling fps.ocstew

I enjoyed the open beta, so I'm really not all that bothered by the length of the campaign. I never could finish BC2's campaign because of how ordinary it was, but I still loved the game (for the most part), so if I get 4 hours of high quality single player, that's just cream to me. The multi + BF3 beta alone would have sold me...

WTH... EA has a studio dedicated to the single player portion, how did it end up so damn short? And here I was planning to get it after a decent price drop. I think I'll skip on even renting the game at this point.

You also gotta love the COD fanboys bashing the game when Black Ops will be 4-5 hours long.
