I actually want one. I have a 3DS ad I love it, but I still want the Vita. I've been getting the "free" Vita games with PSN+.so when SONY or retailers decide to drop it in price, I'll get one. I did pay $200 for my XL 3DS, so I guess $200 aint bad for the Vita, but the memory is overpriced, so I need it to drop in price ro compensate for that.

Ha I've been doing the same. I "buy" the free Vita games every month. I'll have like 60 free games if I ever pick one up :P

Well if it wasn't for the "free" games I probably would. But I have close to 30 now, so why not. Especially if it drops to under $150, plus I can get the added bonus of remote play for the PS4.

I just told you why earlier in thread. The memory is still over priced. I want a 32GB card and Vita for under $200. I probably wont buy another ahndheld after that. Even though I got over 400 hours in MK7, I just dont play it that much.

The best sellers in the US are Call of Duty and Assassin's Creed. There are games on my phone that are much better than that garbage, so maybe the Japanese have that right.

It's really a testiment to how irrelevant Japan has become if Nintendo are cancelling the WiiU despite it being the best selling home console there. I hope this generation and the NX help turn that around eventually.

lol you people sure are ignorant and stupid. These last two weeks the ps4 had terrible sales because the price drop announced on TGS is coming very soon.

when a system is selling great....even if a price cut is announced it still keeps selling...

i think remember some price cut announcements and the thing still sold well.

if your item is hot its hot.... the fact that the ps4 basically died when it was announced was not a good sign for demand...

i think it will sell better the first couple weeks of the price drop...maybe even beat the 3DS... but i dont think they can sustain to to overtake the 3DS week after week.

hardware wise? crap

software wise? keeping nintendo in business.

i dont see how.... ps4 probably wont reach ps1 or wii numbers because japan abandonded them.

i believe it probably wont even reach ps3 numbers honestly...i think this gen might be cut short...hopefully by the NX if nintendo does something right.

3DS+wiiU is 65million sales this gen... ps4 is at 25.... still a ways to go...

Japanese market is now irrelevant. It actually has become bigger although a significant portion of it belongs to Japanese smartphone games of which most if not all will never see the light of day outside of Japan. The more isolated Japanese market becomes the less cultural exchange happens and then creativity goes down. Isolation will never breed originality contrary to what people believe. It breeds decadence. It's what happened to Japan really. Creativity and originality sprouts when there is an abundance of cultural exchange/influences and the strong desire to create one's own voice. Having the desire to create something of your own without influences is futile. You will never be able to create something truly groundbreaking. Having an abundance of influences alone will result to you just copying others without originality. So you need both.

You're not getting it. Those sales are so meager and insignificant that I don't even know if they're worth reporting. I'm far, far from impressed by these numbers.
