Media Create Sales: Week 30, 2014 - PS4 is still shit

323.076 Wii U sold from january 1 to July 27.

647.682 PS4 sold since February 21 to July 27.

Yet the PS4 is selling like sh** does no compute..lol

YTD this year the PS4 double the wii u numbers even that the Wii u have more than 50 days of sale more than the PS4, because the PS4 release on February 21,still sony sold 647k until July 27 while Nintendo only sold 323k,basically doubling the wii u sales wise.

Mario kart came in and boosted the sales a little for Nintendo while sony has nothing in Japan now,i am sure it will change.

And i sure sony is at 84 million as well if not more.

Hell in January the PS3 outsold the 360 in US 53k to 48 k,ad Japan numbers as well and the gap grows even bigger.

On february the xbox 360 sold 114k the PS3 sold 85k,basically selling 29k more.

BUUUUUUUUTTTTTT...

The PS3 sold in February 43,604 in Japan in February so if you join the numbers 85k + 43,604 add to 128,604 14k more than what the xbox 360 sold,and Japan for the xbox 360 on February didn't add even 1.5k...lol

The PS3 has been outselling the xbox 360 world wide we all know it,so if MS is at 84 million i am sure sony is to.

The PS4 sold over 6000 last week in Japan.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the PS4 selling under 3000 units per week or even under 2000 units per week in like a month or two. The longer the ps4 continues to sell really poorly the harder it will be for the console to break 5 million at the end of the gen in Japan.

As for the PS3 and XBox 360, we don't know what the PS3 is doing. You keep forgetting Sony announced 80 million sold in Nov 2013, while Microsoft announced 80 million sold a month earlier in Oct 2013, which means the XBox 360 was ahead worldwide at that time. It took the PS3 an extra month to hit 80 million. Now at the E3 in June during their conference, Microsoft announced 84+ million sold for the Xbox 360. Sony didn't announce anything for PS3 sales. So we don't know where there at. If they were ahead, you would think Sony would have announced it by now.

I thought they had sold like 8300 last week and the Wii U was at 9700? Was that the week before? I know the PS4 numbers have been steadily dropping.

Funny how you say November for the PS3,but when time for the xbox 360 you say early October,when sony news came in early November as well,The news about the xbox 360 came in October 17,the ones for Sony in November 6.

So days of difference while the PS3 still selling better world wide.

It didn't take an extra month you sad lemming,sony is ahead with the PS4 and they don't even talk about PS4 sales numbers in NPD so no they saying nothing means little.

The Wii U numbers will stay up there as well for next month with hyrule warriors coming out. Man I can't wait for that game to hit the states.

XBox 360 was still ahead worldwide when Sony made their 80 million sold announcement. That's a FACT. Sony hasn't said anything about PS3 sales since, so until they do, we can still assume the XBox 360 is ahead with 84+ million. Sad pitiful cow don't want to her the facts. Sony doesn't talk about PS4 sales. Didn't they announce over 7 million back in April? lol!!

They announce them when they are ahead, but never when they are behind. Microsoft does the same thing. All Sony say for the NPD sales is that they were #1 selling console. Do they really need to say anything else?

Please they were ahead by what.? how much in 2 freaking weeks MS could have sold over 80 million.? 100k,200k so MS was 200k ahead when the PS3 hit 80's big freaking deal,considering the PS3 outsold the xbox 360 world wide in 2013.

I already picture it nicely in January the PS3 beat the 360 in US even without Japan,in February it was the same,when you join Japan + US the PS3 wins is how sony made out the whole 9 million MS had at one time by outselling the 360 yearly,so yeah at worse case scenario they are tied in the best one sony is ahead.

They won with the PS4 in the US, not with the PS3. Xbox 360 continues to outsell the PS3 in the U.S. every month.

@blackace: everytime someone says it's handhelds taking over, I smh. The ps3 sold very well, the reason why the ps4 is not performing well in Japan is because it doesn't have [enough] Japanese games. It's lack of games, not because of handheld competition. Remember that both handhelds sold poorly at their release and time after.

The Ps4 hasn't been out for a full year yet, no ND game, no big Japanese games released for it yet, no Drivers Club, Gran Turismo etc. It will dominate Japan, fools.

So a console that has a chance to sell less than half of it's predecessor if this sales pattern continues will be dominating Japan.I don't think the difference between the WiiU and the ps4 will be that big by the end of this gen in Japan. It will probably be 3.5-4 million WiiU's versus 4.5 million-5.5 million PS4(The PS4 will probably end up selling slightly higher than this).The 3ds will probably beat both combined by a factor of 2 by the end of this gen in Japan.

I think the ps4 will still face significant problems even once more appealing software releases for the console.The console itself is unappealing for the current Japanese market and not enough big software will release constantly for the console also.

why is there a PSV with a # and another without it? if so its somewhere 42k+ which is really nice for Sony until games come out for PS4

Yes, I know that. Still Japanese gamers favor handhelds more now then they did in the past. They aren't going to rush out and buy PS4 or XB1 until there are some games they really want to play. Both handhelds sold poorly because of the price and lack of games. Now that the prices have dropped and there are more games, they are selling better.

The question is why the hell are the Japanese not open to playing Western games? It still boggles my mind that Japan the supposed nation that is very influential in video games is pretty ignorant of gaming outside its borders.

PSV# is vita and VitaTV combined. Just PSV is just the vita sales. The vita handheld only sold 21,875

Well a couple good RPGs and sales for PS4 will boost in Japan...

In January this the PS3 outsold the xbox 360,the same happen on October as well that the PS3 also outsold the xbox 360 as well,but once again when you join Japan is irrelevant because Japan adds for the PS3 more than make for and actually make the PS3 outsell the 360,that without counting EU which is basically sony land.

Funny how people have to use the Japanese sales to try and to make the PS4 look like a bad seller to the Wii U but everyway else Nintendo is getting battered by the PS4.
