[QUOTE="Vfanek"][QUOTE="smokeydabear076"][QUOTE="haols"][QUOTE="smokeydabear076"][QUOTE="True_Gamer_"][QUOTE="Vfanek"] OT is quite sad.
As for the "doesn't impress me, recycled character, phail" posts... you suck. You might not love this game. But oyu can't, CAN'T deny that it is a technical achievment. Not to mention that it runs very well on mid and low range comps (I have quite a crappy comp, 512mb of RAM; ATI Radeon x600) and it runs smoothly on medium settings. I've tried it on a high end comp, and goddamn is this eye candy?
I won't comment about gameplay as this thread is about technical achievments and graphics... Bur hrhrhr, it's a great game. I moved to other games tho.

Lets not forget that the expansion will allow 6 armies to be controlled by the smae player raising the unit count to 144k...
At 1 fps....no thanks.
No, make the settings medium and there you go, a solid 30 FPS.
The Engine of this game is nothing else than a technolodgical masterpiece, there is no denying it.
It scales almost as good as Source does. Can you give me a link to where it says that you can run this game with 144,000 soldiers on screen at 30 fps on medium settings?Why do you need a link? Download the demo, edit it and there you go. See for yourself.
I have the game, and I have an excellent PC. I still have no idea how to run it with 144k units, please enlighten me.On Ultra high settings the engine uses 2000 polygons per model...
On Medium it scales back to 500-600 polygons...
This way on medium a singe 8800GTX on a C2D6420 runs 24k troops runs at 40-45fps...
Now add the 10 months of optimisation for the expansion and on low settings the engine uses simple sprites it will go as far as 144000 models....
