Sux that it will use the tablet. Wiimote/Nunchuck would be a lot better.

I don't think so. Touching where you want to throw Pikmin seems more accurate and precise to me.
Except you're not evn using the TV at that point.
It seems like a touch screen would be better, but it simply doesn't work in this situation unless the whole game is played solely on controller. It would essentially have to be a handheld game.
you do realize with the tablet you can have a map of the entire area and command groups of pikmin from anywhere right? That sounds alot more useful than waggling to throw troopsIf Pikmin 3 is what Pikmin 2 was, plus more, Pikmin 3 will be one of the best games in the universe. Can't wait to see what it looks like.

If Pikmin 3 is Pikmin 2 plus more then that would probably make it Nintendo's most content rich experience to date. Pikmin 2 was packed to the brim with quality content

Yup. It also had a really fun multi-player mode for 2 players, which I would love if they improved. Make it 4 players, and it would be incredible.[QUOTE="Link3301"]
First Ocarina of Time and now Pikmin. You have been living under your PS3 for too long good sir.

I think he said he started gaming in 2007.
I feel very sorry for anyone who wasn't fortunate enough to experience the beginning of consoles up to now. I cannot even imagine growing up without that :P.
As for Pikmin, like I said before, I am not a fan. But honestly I have hardly ever played it. It seems to boring and RTS like. I should give it a shot though.
i'd never played a pikmin game up until a few weeks back when I picked up the remake for Wii, excellent game, cant wait for the third!

I started gaming in 1995 and always felt like a noob. The new gamers this gen and last make me feel retro but I still feel noobish for missing out on the Genesis or the PC-Engine etc.
What about you? :o
You know what a real megaton would be? If people got excited for organizations helping out little children who are dying from easily preventable causes. But no, a video game is far more exciting. Who cares if children's lives were saved because someone did something awesome? It doesn't affect me.Labavo
Why in the f*ck are you posting here then? Shouldn't you be out rescuing kittens and having sex with trees?

Obviously on a forum dedicated to people who want to talk about gaming people will make very few threads about charitable causes or major scientific breakthroughs as people come here to discuss GAMING. You might as well whine about the lack of topics discussing the best sandwich someone ate on a forum based around cars.

I started with the SNES, so not the very beginning. I honestly believe the NES is just too archaic to have games I willw ant to play today, unless its mario or some simple puzzle game or something. Games like Zelda and Metroid really couldn't shine on it like they can on the SNES. So I am happy with where I got into video games :P. I just cannot imagine starting in with 3D graphics and so much more, without witnessing where games came from. It was an epic experience playing Super Mario 64 :P. Just so many awesome moments and so many cl@ssic games.

Second, pikmin already worked perfectly on the wii with new play control. Why change what worked so well to begin with?
Last, if you play on a touch screen, the whole game will have to be played on the screen so you can see what pikmin you are clicking on. You can't just tap away at a screen while looking at the TV. At that point, the game is nothing more than a glorified DS game.
UGGGHH Why did they have to release this information now? I won't be able to think of anything else for the next month and a half... I've already busted out my Pikmin 1 and have been burning through it 2-3 Spaceship parts every in game day (I've played this game so much that I remember every detail)... I wonder if I'll beat my record.
