I keep seeing all these threads hailing the PC as the pinnacle of gaming and tryin to rub it in the faces of PS3/360/Wii owners... what you guys fail to understand is that we dont care. Cows and lemmings disregard hermits FAR more than sheep, and thats saying a lot. Playing games on a PC is lame, outdated and wayy too expensive. If I wanted to play that Crysis game (which i dont, because the actual game looks like a run of the mill FPS),, id need to spend what, $5,000? No thanks.
Console gaming is accepted in the mainstream world, PC gaming is associated with geekswho see fresh air only when they go out to buy a new game. You'll never see a PC exclusive game ever reach the attention GTA4/guitar hero have gotten for a long long time.

Yes yes, none of you care, is that why most PC related threads go 10's of pages long, and these threads appear so often?
This is yet another tribute to how much you care.

I don't even consider it a matter of opinion. PC gaming HANDS DOWN has the VERY BEST gaming experience money can buy. Now if we could just convince devs to stay PC exclusive.
Crysis is mediocre in terms of gameplay. Let the Hermits have their fun. Let them believe that their way of gaming is far more advanced. majadamus

I didnt mean to bash PC gaming in general,, do whatever floats your boat.
The intention of thread was to all the PC gamers (and theres a lot here who do this) who come to SW and go to threads and say how the PC is the best, the PC gets the best multiplats, best graphics etc, etc,. You guys fail to understand that PS3 owners may envy 360 sometimes, and 360 may envy PS3 sometimes but we never ever envy or feel any jealousy towards PC gaming. So please, keep your facts about superior hardware and whatever to yourself, we really could care less.
Like somebody said earlier,, PC gamers cant buy a game, come home and play it right away in the comfort of a couch with their sound system,,, without a hell of a lot of hassle. This is why 95% gamers are console gamers primarily these days.

Your thread is satire, as is your singeling out of the platform like if its alien to consoles, when in reality they both do the same thing hence why its including in this forum.
PC is only good for WOW, Starcraft, and SIMS.
And as console stereotypes are dying down, the PC stereotype is still as nerdy as ever.

I would like to play Madden 2009 on the PC, but I can't because PC gaming is dying.Gagging_Order
I won't even go into how PC gaming isn't dying. Instead I will point out that you won't be playing Madden 2009 on PC because EA sports games weren't selling well on PC. Why ? Piracy ? Maybe. More likely because PC users got tired of getting a PS2 port over a PS3 or 360 port.

yeah what annoys most is the amount of money the finest gaming experience costs. besides who wants to perch 10 cm in front of a crappy monitoron a swivel chair on a desk?? sofas ftw. besides you guys are a load of stupid stereotype nerds why sould we listen to you? :P
Why its rewarding to be a hermit:
1) Better graphics (obviously)
2) Smoother framerates
3) Sharper controls (keyboard and mouse ftw, plus we can still use gamepads if we need to)
4) Faster load times
5) Free online (plus its the best service)
6) Digital distribution (my PC has 2TB storage space with 2 hard drives, unlike the small PS3 and 360 hard drives which lose space easily)
7) Free mods (loads and loads of replay value)
8) If we need portability, we can buy gaming laptops (many laptops can beat console graphics easily nowadays)
9) Multiplats are always better on PC
10) Customising your own PC is always fun! I enjoyed researcing the Internet when I was designing my rig :)
Agreed, but some of the best games ever are on the PC.TMontana1004
then those games come to consoles anyway. PC makers know the money to be made is on the consoles. Make it on PC first then port it to everything else. It cheaper to do that way.

No, thx to the Wii and casual pushes by MS, console stereotypes are down. Now they are shifting to "party gatherings", or "gaming on your couch online".

My crappy monitor is better than most TVs. Better contrast, repsonse time, reolution. The finest gaming experience may cost a lot, but you don't need that, a good gaming experience can be had for a $500 PC, $200 monitor. We may be stereotype nerds, but most of us view the bulk of console users as idiots who would go PC if they had the IQ to do it.

Every single consolite that I know persoanally wishes he/she had the time/energy/knowledge to build a gaming PC. Every single one. Before I had a good PC, I was VERY envious. It's reasonable to assume that the console is a better "party device" but it's not as if you can't have a social gaming experience in your own home. Ever hear of Lan parties? What about those conventions that consoles rarely if ever have like Quakecon and Blizzcon? They recieve thousands upon thousands of gamers interested in gaming with others. Also, I don't see how you could possibly leave out the robust communities of MMOs, that is by far the most socially robust gaming experience out there.

XBOX live is more than just a friends list. Its the only dedicated online game service dedicated to the gamer for the gamer. With such advanced features as XBOX live marketplace, dedicated voice chat for every online game, and a host of other features. You will wonder how you enjoyed playing on lesser services such as xfire and gamespy.
