Metal Gear HD Collection listed at $49

That number comes via US retailer Gamestop, which also lists a release date of November 29.

Revealed last month at Konami's pre-E3 conference, the collection will include Metal Gear Solid 2, MGS 3 Subsistence and PSP entry MGS Peace Walker.

Ported to PS3 and Xbox 360 by Bluepoint, the studio behind the God of War Collection, the updated PS2 games will don 1080p visuals and run at 60fps. More details here.

Trophies, Achievements and dual analogue stick controls are also promised, and in Japan purchasers will receive a code to download the PSP version of Peace Walker.

When we picked up the telephone a Konami spokesperson declined to comment on the supposed pricing.

Good, because its doesnt look that great as a HD collection, or remake, or whatever it is called.

I don't want to, but I almost bought a PSP for Peace Walker so I will.

By the time I end up getting it, it will probably be cheaper on Amazon or something.

Seems like Konami's making a big mistake not including MGS1. But, how could they? If they were going to include it they'd have to update the graphics and such which they already did with Metal Gear Solid: Twins Snakes, but that's a Gamecube exclusive so how could they port that?

Wonder how well the PS3 can run the game..... the 1st part of the game in the tanker, espacially at 1080p. I hope its not a bad port like the xbox version. Just saying giving how the PS3 lacks EDRAM.

im passing just because Ive played the hell out of all those games on PS2, and exhausted basically all the replay value those games could possibly have.

Ive beat MGS2 alone probably about 10 times.

I haven't played those games so maybe... Or maybe I'll just wait for a price drop.

Works for me. Ive been wanting to get into Metal Gear Solid so this is the perfect chance to do it and it comes out the same month as my birthday.

sounds pretty expensive for games ive already played. maybe they will drop the price. if anything, i will wait for a price drop

Meh.. I have the first three and peacewalker anyways so I won't get it. These HD remake things they do almost never look that much different so its not really worth getting even if you don't have the originals because of how cheap they are now.

That's odd. I remember them stating 720p, not 1080p. Meh eitherway because the MGS2 screens still stretched like the PC version does if I remember right. Peace Walker doesn't even get a visual upgrade, and I'll be getting MGS3 for 3DS later this year. I really only want it for Peace Walker, but $50 is too much.

It's too bad it doesn't have MGS1. If it did, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

I really don't get why people are passing up on this because it doesn't have MGS1, The game doesn't lend itself to HD because it's just too old.... What would be the point. If you want to play MGS1 just put the PS1 version in your PS3 or download it off the PSN Store.

Better resolution = less jagged edges. You really don't think the game would look significantly better in 1080p?

I need to play Peace Walker so I might get it plus Trophy Support and updated HD graphics.

Shame it doesn't contain the first one.
