[QUOTE="Onizuka36"][QUOTE="JiveT"]Let's clarify some things
1: MGS is not a AAA franchise the gameplay is terrible and the stories are always based around the exact same plot. The only thing that changes (barely) is whatever philosophical point Kojima is trying to beat into the viewer's head. Yes "viewer" not "player". There is about as much gameplay in the MGS series as Sewer Shark for the Sega CD.JiveT
Wow, you seem like a person I never want to see post ever again. You sometimes have good points in some of your posts (although sometimes they're few and far between), but your blatantly ignorant view of MGS is not doing any of us any good.
Every game has the same sequence of events so far. Snake infiltrates, Snake is captured, Snake fights Metal Gear. Wash, rinse, repeat. The camera is awful in all 3 games until he finally (sort of) fixed the camera in Subsistence. Take away the cutscenes and you are left with an awkward playing shell of a game. The only good thing about the gameplay is how item selection is handled but he got that down to a science in the first game. I can explain why its bad can you explain why its good?
Each game have a great story behind it, with excellent characters creation of both good and bad. Memorable unique villians. Pumping action. You got a gameplay of how it would feel like if you were one man against a whole gand of bad guys. You know you can't just balently rush throw, gun blazing because you will be overrunned and killed. You have to move ever so carefully, you don't know what is behind the next corner. That to me is exciting and fun. I can fall in love with the tons of cutscreens, because each is interesting either action filled or just information wise on the plot your in. Each boss match is so much different, each with their own personality and style. So much to love.
