[QUOTE="Coyo7e"][QUOTE="Progn0sticator"] It's amazing how many idiots are actually participating in this thing.
People. It's a BETA, this crap happens, this isn't a Demo, it's a Beta and it's going to buggy, stop whining and wait for the servers to work, in the meantime I'd suggest playing some other game, surely you have something else to keep you busy with.
Now granted, the problems are purely from a Networking standpoint and it is kind of ridiculous that Konami wasn't better prepared for the Beta of the only freaking reason to own a PS3, but still, it's a Beta, so deal with it and go play 'GT5: Prologue' or something.

I was waiting for an "its a beta" post. I do not bother to reserve games very often, and it was used as carrot on a stick to stack more reservations. It is just a Beta. But a very public Beta.
Still an ammeter and lazy effort by Kanomi.
Correction. When you use Beta keys as a give away for placing a reservation on the game, it is more then just a Beta. I take back some of the things I said in my post before yours.
When you do that, dangle it on a reservation for your game. A game that many feel is the ps3 saviour at this point. You should at least be pro enough to be ready for a massive slam on the beta start date. That is just common sense.
And just because a lot of fans were hyped up for it, and are now ticked and annoyed, does not make them idiots.
What a garbage post.
I am by no means taking offense to the super fans of MGS who are more than pissed about this whole thing, I'm pointing more towards people who expected and are now very pissed over a few more hours of waiting.
You have a valid point as Konami and stores have been marketing the crap out of "Preorder Now, get the Beta Code" and so yes, it does really make it more than a Beta, which is exactly the problem since a lot of people seem to be expecting a Demo and not a Beta. Beta's are buggy and so is Networking, the fact that Konami is trying to roll this out in 3 major regions is no small task, so please, cut them some slack, though they probably don't deserve it, just keep your accusations to yourselves until a few hours after the official release of the Beta.
You are right.
But I do disagree some. Just because the entire throwing in a beta test with the reservations thing was either asking for trouble, or could have created a situation that they should have seen coming.
I will pick a thread and stick to it now.
P.S. I do love my GT5 "demo" it gets harder in the A class.
