huh? Konami was the publisher, not Kojima. Kojima doesn't own the servers, nor did he pay it from his own money.

Kojima works for Konami and he is the one with the statement saying it was shutting down. It was his choice.

Hopefully this means a Metal Gear Online 2 is in the works. And that Konami ID dies in the burning flames of hell.

Such a shame. The inferstructure and gameplay was absolutely brilliant (as coming from the best game ever made; MGS4) but damn the Konami ID sucked bawls.

Ruined the online segment. Ah well, we can hope for a 2.0 version in the next proper Metal Gear, without any crappy Konami ID in the way.,..

No biggie me thinks since had GS not umm, cheated and left the terrible on-line part of the game out of the review, MGS4 would have scored 7.0. :P

I never played MGO because I couldn't log in. I could write a bunch of random letters on the ID and it would say it was already taken and I don't know why. Always.

MGS4 probably has the greatest and most defined gameplay in history. The controls were perfect. What are you talking about?
