Metal Gear Solid 4 will be the BEST next gen game ...

It's the only game I really care or give a damn about.

It'll be a good game, but I don't think it will even be able to compete with Crysis, Spore, Bioshock, MP3, Mass Effect and Halo 3 for best next gen title this year.

I am super excited for this game. It looks amazing and it will bring new fans to the PS3. If you have never played the Metal Gear series you are missing out. Metal Gear is the BEST game franchise ever next to the classics like Mario and Zelda. JDW_games

the best? maybe, it's coming out this year but this gen is going to go for 5-6 more years, there is plenty of time for someone to make a better game.

If its only as good as MGS2 was, I would gladly pay $600 for it .

I'd rather wait for konami to realize that they need money so they port it to the 360, and ta-da I don't have to buy that 12 pound paper weight/ foot rest/ancor/I can't come up with any other things that the ps3 is better used for.  hahaha

Seriously.  2 had the worst plot ever.  And I'd have to say the worst game in the franchise.

I loved Snake Eater, and if 4 is anything like 3 then it will be good.  Not "the best next gen game" but a fun little title to play on you're PS3.

You're wrong on so many levels.  A game is not guaranteed to be good based on previous installments.  And there is no way I'd pay 600 dollars for one game.  I want to play MGS4 as much as the next guy, but saying that the game is guaranteed to reach greatness and that you should pay 600 dollars just for that game is going too far.

MGS3 flopped? It's the stealthiest, more tactical of all. If kojima had removed the motion sensor detector, levaving us with only visual spotting, the game would've been perfect. Camuflage system was awesome.

If MGS4 combines MGS2 and 3, than it will be orgasmic win.  

For me nothing beats MGS1. I love the story, plot, and the characters in the game. MGS2 story and plot was dissapointing, but i felt they made it up a lot on MGS3. i havent tried ops yet but i think i will before mgs4 comes out. Since ppl been telling me it somewhat ties with 4. I would think ops and mgs3 would tie more with big boss and his outer heaven ideals, but i dont know since i havent played ops.

Honestly i havent really been following mgs series as time passed by and didnt care much for the mgs anymore. After seeing the mgs4 trailer it looks interesting and i am somewhat looking foward to the game. Just have to wait and see how the game turns out.

I'm super excited for it too,i just hope it lasts longer than 2+3 put together,that's my only jiff with the series,it's short and sweet.

I want it too be long and sweet. 

This and ff13 will be the two main games that make me buy a ps3 next year.

no offense, but the idea that konami/kojima wouldn't make a profit off of PS3 exclusive MGS4 is very ignorant. there are over three million PS3s sold in the market currently, and by the time the game comes out, there will be a lot more. A high percentage of PS3ers will get MGS4 because it is a high profile next gen iteration of a famous series, and no PS3 owner (mostly) is unaware of MGS in general. (I can't predict precise numbers of sales, but I am going with what is most probable)
