Iv played all 3 and iv bought the first collection that came out. If this is true seems like ill be doing it again.

Awesome news. It's actually been confirmed, well not confirmed but it's also been mentioned in an interview here aboutHD remakes. Both sources claiming the HD remakes are coming? I think it's well confirmed. :D

I hope is not true, why would i want the games in HD? i'll take the Essential Collection (which i own since day 1) over this HD remakes any time any day, this HD collections are getting quite ridiculous and useless.

Snake jumping on a missile... Now in HD! Not sure if want. If this goes through and sells really well, we might see allot of devs cashing in on this. Halo trilogy remake uggh...

Just upping the resolution isn't worth rebuying these games (I own MGS, VR Missions, MGS2 SOL, MGS2S, MGS3 SE and MGS3S LE). If they add all the content from VR Missions, The Document of MGS2, Existence (MGS3 movie edit) and all the extra content included in the "Sub" versions... then I'd buy it. But just giving me MGS, MGS2 and MGS3 (which they already re-released a couple years ago) in HD isn't worth any money...

MGS3 in HD would be worth it if, if konami also made the game run at a constant 60fps. I'm not a visuals-whore, but 60fps would make a tangible improvement on the game, because the PS2 original had slowdown whenever there were just a few particle effects on screen.

I would not want to buy MGS1 HD however, and I see no point in even going back to update that.

also, TC, if it's a rumour, say so in the title, don't make it look official.

They would definitely have to add more then just MGs1 -3...I personally would want them to replace MGs1 ps1 and go with the twin snakes being that its a last gen remake of the game and will look vastly better then mgs 1 in hd they would have to give us far more packed in then just hd rereleases.

If they were to give us allot more extras and give us both Mgs1 ps1 and The Twin Snakes then I would buy this in an instant.

That's cool, but there's already a PS2 compilation of these, and it's somewhat cheap.

I love the series but I won't buy game I already own just because they are HD. Nice for those who haven0t tried the series as those games are stellar, but I just won't buy them once again.

Seriously? I just bought a $50 PSN card to buy MGS1, & ordered MGS2 & MGS3 on Ebay & I'm waiting for them to arrive. Ah well, all up it will cost me $70 AUS or so. I'll buy the HD trilogy anyway, hopefully it has Substance & Subsistence.

Don't forget, there is also trophies. Also all the MGS games on one disc = EPIC WIN :P

I'm not a trophy whore, but I would definitely try to platinum them. Also, day one buy.

I may have to pick this up, if this is true. I'll have to see which versions this re-release has in it, though.

I have MGs1 (PS1) MGS: The Twin Snakes (GCN) MGS2: Sons of Liberty, MGS3: Snake Eater, & MGS3: Subsistance and I will still buy this collection. That is how much I love MGS series.

Mine plays Snake Eater flawlessly but Subsistence is another story. It never reads the disk and I prefer the camera in Subsistence.
