[QUOTE="Verge_6"][QUOTE="Riverwolf007"][QUOTE="the_h_bomb"] EVERY Metal Gear Solid playstation game has at least one version out there that is AAA on both gamespot and game rankings. Metal Gear Solid was probably the most influential game in the 5th generation of consoles. Metal Gear Solid 2 was one of the definitive games of last generation and is widely cited as one of the finest examples of PS2 era innovation.
Metal Gear Solid 4 is one of the most impressive games ANY OF US has ever seen. Stop denigrating one of the greatest series' in videogaming and stop comparing it to crap like "Splinter Cell Conviction". MGS4 is the pinnacle of the stealth action genre not a hobo fighting simulator starring some snake wannabe with a forgettable name.

Comparing a stealth action game where I shoot terrorists to a stealth action game where I shoot psionic flying guys, cowboys with magic riccochet pistols, invisible robot ninjas, and mechs with rocket arms and frikkin lazer eyes. Sorry, I don't see the connection.Hey, don't knock the awesome quirkiness of the MGS franchise. Besides, The End = one of the best boss fights evar.
That's not knocking MGS, that's knocking what could possibly be the stupidest comparason in SW. These two games are not alike at all and they are compared constantly, I've never understood it.Ah, I see what you're saying. Yes, the fact people compare the two is astounding. I guess since they are both considered stealth games, people think that alone means they can compete them agaisnt one another. But, that really means they haven't played both extensively. As a fan of both, I can write an essay over the differences between the two game series.
