As GS gave less than 9, other sites gave a 10/10.So if you make an overall score out of 91 different reviews from the best sites worlwide,that score >>> 1 site's score. Now if the guy meant GS,nop GS gave 8.7.

Also gamerankings gave 95/100 for MGS3.

And i dont see any score for the first MGS thru gamerankings

I dont like MGS I tried out the 1st one on the GC hated it and tired out the 2nd one on a ps2 and also hated it because of the story, gimmicky clunky gameplay, annoying characters, the fact that they called it "stealth espionage" was a joke because hiding in lockers and covering yourself it a cardboard box to escape the enemies "cone" vison sure as hell isnt stealth.

I come up with valid reason to why I dont enjoy MGS something SC haters usually dont come up with they just say MGS >>>> SC end of story.

MGS Portable Ops. I don't think the offshoot card games scored that high though.

It absolutely is a AAA franchise. It is why MGS4 is such a big deal. Kojima is an excellent game developer/game writer. For some, the big draw of MGS is its incredible story. That alone allowed people to easily look past its gameplay flaws throughout the 3 earlier versions. Splinter Cell on the other hand, is a fine series as well. It puts a greater emphasize on stealth combat and an even less emphasize on story progression. Yes, there is a story there but thats not what most people will remember about Splinter Cell.

In the end, it all comes down to taste. As gamers, you shouldn't allow your fanboy-ism to get in the way and cloud your judgement over which of these incredible game series you prefer. Try them both if you can, they are excellent games and have earned the acclaim they have received by excellent developers who have stood behind them.

Pretty much my precise thoughts. The MGS series is more action-oriented than the SC series. That fact alone makes it difficult to compare with the SC series.

Pretty much my precise thoughts. The MGS series is more action-oriented than the SC series. That fact alone makes it difficult to compare with the SC series.

To me, the SCC info so far revealed leaves me to believe, action parts will not be in short supply as the usual stealthy, hidden in the dark parts seem to be a thing of the past for the SC series and I applaud that ! :)

The game has personality and its own humor and quirks.

If you think SC is remotely realistic though you should rethink your opinion. Enemies walking along poorly lit corridors in maximum security facilites, not even noticing the player who is half a meter away from them, crawling by.

And yes I have every MGS game, and SC game, and use to say SC was superiour until I actually played through the MGS games.

If you want a stealth game that is better than SC play the Thief series games. MGS isnt a stealth game like SC or Thief is.

just to clear something up, hiding in a box or in a locker won't do anything if the enemy sees you. they immediatly home in on your hiding spot and find you if they saw you enter it.

enough with the exxagerations. it doens't help the arguement.

Your favourite game is an FPS with a plot that rips off starcraft starring a guy in a motorycycle helmet battling multicoloured muppets with pink laser beams

SC is good but I think it's going downhill eg:SC DA. MGS is getting better with age and rating wise, it is an AAA series.
