I like the cover, Hideo Kojima said it himself that this game is the true Metal Gear Solid 5, not Rising
So I hyped it AAA, 9.0 here

If PO can get an AAA then this will definitly get the same if not better score. It was a significant change in GP and it's way better.

How does that relate to the cover at all, TC? Jeez...

I might get it, but the controls are still awkward. That's pretty unavoidable for something this ambitious though.
To me, it would have made more sense for "MGS5" to be made on the bigger platform, where they have a great foundation of prior technical and design experience with MGS4.
i wonder if this will sell as poorly as the AAA GTA:CW on PSP? i hope not but i can't help thinking a Wii/PS2 port wouldn't be a good idea
The controls are the make-it-or-break-it for me. I couldn't play Portable Ops because of it. Seriously. Yeah, I could curl my left index finger over the d-pad to control the camera, but it's awkward and uncomfortable. That's not a good solution. Haven't had a chance to try the demo though, so would someone who did care to enlighten me?
You have the option to the control the camera with the face buttons, but I could not get used to that, even after trying both inverted and normal sty/es. I just need an analog controller for looking I guess. So I'm thinking I'll just play it like Portable Ops, with the D-pad as camera, and well... I just won't get into big gunfights that require me to move and shoot at the same time. :P
The controls are great in the demo. It's setup like Syphon Filter where you move with the analog stick, you pull out your gun and aim with L and use the face buttons as your right analog stick and fire with R. I'm pretty sure you can switch to a south paw setup where you move with the face buttons and aim with the analog, not sure, only played the JPN demo :P But the graphics are superb and the gameplay intense and I love the little red circle with the points that comes out when you shoot people :D This game might give GoW: CoO a run for its money in the graphics department IMO.The controls are the make-it-or-break-it for me. THey crashed the train pretty hard. Let's not nuke the trainwreck ust because we can mordred :PI might get it, but the controls are still awkward. That's pretty unavoidable for something this ambitious though.

lol kojima actually considers this game mgs 5? wow....next up watch as next year he announces MGS 5 for the ps3...thus negating his usual odd comments about the games he makes.
It's not as awkward as Portable Ops but it's less functional. There is no first person mode and there is no crawling. I can't entirely remember but I think the camera was mapped to the shoulders. Although I beat Portable Ops twice. The controls are the make-it-or-break-it for me. I couldn't play Portable Ops because of it. Seriously. PLZ KONAMI LEAVE MIZUKI☆NANA's SONG IN THERE DONT DUB IT i beg youfunsohngI dont see whyd theyd change a theme song. Konami keeps the same songs for every game.
also that cover is gorgeous. Cant wait for this game. Day one buy, hands down.
The fact that the game stars four different characters that all look and sound exactly alike just make it difficult to take the game seriously. It could be a fun game but story wise the concept sorta seems shark jumping material. vashkeyOh, please, the clone material was the basis for some of the most jarring and compelling moments in MGS4. The last boss battle about melted my brain it was so awesome.

Dude, steal a PS3 and play MGS4! It is (IMO people...chill) the best gaming experience to be had this entire gen. While I prefer the characters from MGS3 (The Boss is my Heroine ) MGS4 is the perfect package. The gameplay is top notch, the story is top notch, the presentation is top notch, the pacing is top notch...everything is top notch, and I love the inclusion of characters from the past. Everyone from Meryl to Mei Ling to Akiba aka Johnny makes an appearance here. It's thrilling stuff and I'm willing to say that it is perhaps the best fan service in the history of...well, media, and an awesome game to boot :D
Seeing the cover just brought up some memories: Anyone remember how Big Boss lost his eye in MGS3? The guy didn't even flinch! Paramedic says "Boss, I'm sorry, there is nothing we can do about the eye..." (or something like that) and the guy acts like it's nothing! If I had lost an eye, I'd be crying like a little girl!II_Seraphim_IIhe pissed his pants :| Epic game, but he pissed his pants :|
MGS Peacewalker is my most anticipated PSP title :)
(though am looking forward also to Kingdom Hearts)
