It's being developed by former GSC employes and those buggers coudn't wait to rip off Stalker.There's allready suspicion that 4a games stole the X-ray engine or at least some parts of it.

Both Stalker and Metro 2033 are based on Russian literature. They both have this post apocaliptyc setting. They even both look the same. Of course Metro is coming to the 360 so it will have dumbed down graphics and A.I. But then again it might turn out like Risen or Divinity II where the PC version was great and the 360 version sucked. Will see..

You thought Risen/Divinity II was great? Glad I don't have bad taste.

I'm taking a wait and see approach with this game. A new Fallout game is coming this year and I'm sure it has a fair share of Metro tunnels itself without being based in them the whole game.

Similar =/= rip-off.

They are completely different styles of FPS. Stalker is much more open-ended in both mission structure and world, whereas Metro 2033 is very linear in its level design and mission structure.
