btw game is releasing 15 of feb. day after valentines day so this game is bigger and far far bigger than stupid valentines day.

Metro, far cry expansion, crackdown 3 and jedi knight academy. All on a friday. Weekend won't be enough.

Have you tried out ray tracing in Battlefield V and Tomb Raider?

@ghosts4ever: I know. And that's still my face. I don't want to play shittier, slower version of Doom. But I also don't want to be restricted to Bethesda's online-only launcher (I've tried to see if it has offline mode like Steam and it doesn't seem like it does, I could be wrong but it didn't work for me) just to play the new Doom.

they only confirmed for Rage 2.

theres only fallout 76 released on bethesda launcher which is online game. will have to wait and see.

maybe after this metro fisaco. companies may be using steam more because take two games and CDPR bash epic exclusive deal and call it anti consumer.

bethesda are much better publisher than deep silver. deep silver only critically acclaimed title is Metro. rest are homefront and ride to hell and also agent of mayhem. they hate gaming.

@ghosts4ever: Yep, its still up in the air, but given how things are going and the fact that Rage 2 is already not coming to Steam its not looking good for Doom Eternal. Really not happy right now. I hate Bethesda so much. I wish Id could break free from them like IO did with Square Enix after the Hitman fiasco.

be glad id software are not under EA as originally they were choosing partnership with EA otherwise id software would have been making battle royale games today.

@ghosts4ever: yeah, i'm kinda on my last legs for keeping up with this video game hobby. Been playing games for over 21 years but with all of the shit that has been going on nowadays, I'm really getting tired. I've got so many games to replay over and over. I go back to games from the 90s and the 2000s so often and the fact that online-only is so popular but as deep as a puddle (boring-ass looter shooters like Destiny, Anthem, and The Division are supposed to be fun?)....I'm about done

So if id goes to EA, or if Blizzard splits from Activision, or if microtransactions never go away, or if every single video game becomes tied to a server in order to play (I know, it won't happen, I'm just exaggerating), I'm just gonna play my old games and smile because it happened, not be sad because its gone.

we dont want this game to failed because its really really really good but i hate deep silver as they are forcing us to use this shitty fortnite launcher we never used before. they forced us.

@ghosts4ever: I have been using the Epic Launcher for a long time for Unreal Engine. I am not a fan of exclusive deals, but I am definitely not going to boycott an amazing game like Metro Exodus because of it. I use Steam, Origin, GOG, Uplay, Oculus, and Twitch launchers also. So, it really isn't a big deal for me.

Why Deep Silver?!

I use the following launchers/stores:

• Origin
• Uplay
• Microsoft Store
• Blizzard.net

Ranked from used a lot to once maybe in a month.

Especially those launchers I use for but a few games feel like a waste imho.

i dont use origins because i hate EA games

dont care about uplay games since ubisoft games suck today

microsoft games also suck

blizzard games are online games so dont care

it might be coincide that i didnot liked any of these games. at all.

Now that I think of it... I also use MS Store, Blizzard App, and Bethesda launcher. Man, I have a lot of launchers/stores (10 in total).

RE2 is the much better and superior game.

Yeah it gets to the point of being ludicrous.

I get that the big ones like EA and Bethesda don't want to share their profit with Steam. But a lot of these launchers have no clue what makes steam so good, like the steam community and steam workshop. And with me having around 20 or so people on Steam I often play and talk with, why would I go to a launcher with an empty friends list...

I'll continue to use stuff like Blizzard.net because of Warcraft III remastered coming up, I might jump into Bethesda.net for Rage and DOOM, but I don't have to like it >:D

It's not in Tomb Raider, yet. :( Unless they added it stealthily. Lol

It looks awesome in BF5, but is not entirely feasible in MP where you want more performance to be able to compete well. Works great in the SP mode, and it'll be fine when they add co-op to the game.

However, they are adding DLSS support in the next week or so, so that may be able to allow me to do ray tracing with DLSS enabled.

Though I really believe that Ray Tracing will be the next big thing, I'm actually more excited to see DLSS.

Anti Aliasing is something I'm constantly tweaking in games. In order to strike a balance between quality, performance hit and of course: not having it blur the entire image. >:D

DLSS should arrive sometime today, so I'm really interested to hear your thoughts about it.

I spent a while tweaking my settings in Battlefield V in order to get the best results, heck I finally got my lazy ass off Windows 7 in order to take use of the performance boost of DX12.

I'm now in a comfortable state where I can get BF V running at 3440x1440 and 120FPS, only getting minor dips when there is an insane amount of stuff going on on the screen.

So Ray tracing in online BF V would be a no-go for me anyway :P

Yeah, DX12 is a huge boost in performance if the devs implement it correctly. Tomb Raider gains around 20 fps with DX12 enabled.

Yes, I had the same experience with Shadow of the Tomb Raider. The game ran great, looked great and it had some really good AA solutions.

Just finished the game last weekend and from a graphics and animation standpoint the game is absolutely stellar.

I ended up playing Shadow of the Tomb Raider in DX11 so that I could use ReShade to get rid of the blur. DX12 offers better performance, but does not support shader injection.

I am definitely looking forward to trying out the RTX ambient occlusion and global illumination in Metro Exodus. I think it will be the most impressive showing of ray tracing to date. Atomic Heart will be another one to look out for.

Lol an 8's a masterpiece? Masterpieces are usually found exclusively on the PS4 and Switch this generation.

Very disappointed with Ghost. Since the first trailers released that he's been assuring us this was going to be the best game ever. I won't cancel my preorder but I don't know if I can trust him ever again.

I don't know what all the fuss is about with this review, 8/10 is a great score isn't it? :D
