They 'recommend' a 660ti or 580.
I should be right.

Max Payne 3.
Wasn't Max Payne 3 pretty demanding? Never got around to playing it :(
No.The graphics do look very very good, the lighting is supposed to be very advanced
However it will probably be unoptimized like Metro 2033, 4A are clearly not the best programmers, forcing v-sync with 2033 gave you about a 15-20 fps boost for some reason
HaloinventedFPS
They've had more time though, to polish up the game to make it better than the 2033 at launch.
The game was postponed many times, I hope that time was put to good use.
Its more powerful than my 580, you should be fine. But it's not.So as far as the game where would I be with my 6950 card?[QUOTE="clyde46"][QUOTE="CanYouDiglt"]Where would a 6950 put me for this?mitu123
[QUOTE="GoldenElementXL"]Hmm. I have a gtx 690 but my monitor is 2560x1440 so there may be a problem. This game better be amazing..........the_bi99man
Pretty sure the "optimum" specs are a 690 or Titan. And they do mention 1440p/1600p + a bunch of AA as part of the "optimum" settings. I'd guess that worst case scenario, you gotta go with a little less AA. And how much AA do you really need at 1440p? :P
Not much but between crysis 3 and bioshock infinite dipping below 60fps with AA turned down I am getting worried. Don't get me wrong the games look stunning! I just know how crazy 2033 was to run. I have to turn that game down to 1920x1080. I would hate to play that game on consoles though.[QUOTE="mitu123"]But it's not.So as far as the game where would I be with my 6950 card?Your card is below the recommended so you can do some high settings but not everything on max.[QUOTE="clyde46"] Its more powerful than my 580, you should be fine.CanYouDiglt

FML I'll be at minimum setting, well I guess I'll get it for the console then :?
Ballroompirate
For a game like this, I honestly would not be suprised if minimum settings and 720p looks just as good, if not better than the console versions. And if you'll manage more than 30 fps, it'll run smoother, too.
PC, the only platform where you need a $1000 GPU to run a game
Quad4Life
Minimum specs calls for a GTS250. Just checked newegg. Can't even find a gts250, and more powerful cards are going for less than $100.
Why you suck so hard?
[QUOTE="princeofshapeir"][QUOTE="megaspiderweb09"]
What does this mean for PS4 owners? :p
Build a PC:( Not an appealing investment considering my current situation, but i wana know though if the PS4 can run this on high?
Perhaps, but we don't know the hardware yet. I'm guessing a mix of medium and high settings at 30fps in 720p.Looks pretty reasonable to me.
I don't think anyone who thinks he should be able to max out the game at playlable framerates with a dual core and 8800 has realistic anticipation...
Metro 2033 even with lowest texture settings had 2x the texture detail(resolution) then console versions04dcarraher
First of all there was only one console version, on xbox 360.
Second the 360 version had 1024x1024 textures, PC had only double that at max.
From Euorgamer's article :
"On PC, Metro 2033 features superior volumetric fog, double the precision in the PhysX, 2048x2048 textures (up against 1024x1024 on console), better shadow-map definition and filtering, object blur in DX10, sub-surface scattering for superior skin shaders, parallax mapping on all surfaces and better geometric detail with less aggressive LODs.
There's also going to be support for tessellation in DirectX 11. In basic terms, tessellation interpolates new polygons, so the closer you get to a tessellated object, the more polygons are generated."
360 footage
Metro 2033 on 360 was actually a little marvel at the time and they really spent a lot of time on it, apparently. Last Light will probably be the same, even if we're in the last days of this generation and i'm bummed the difference will be so large. I'll probably pick it up after a price cut or two.
