Let's be honest, Metroid Other M will probably be excellent, but better than Halo: Reach? Not very likely at all. And this is coming from a guy who thinks Metroid Prime is the greatest game ever created.
Other M. no question. im bored of halo. i said after 3 "osan0...thats it". then i got ODST and well..that was really it. i have my reservations about Other M but its a far more interesting proposition then halo reach imho.

Have you played it? I don't think so. I'm playing it at the moment and I can tell you it's far from horrible. It's no Metroid Prime 2 (I liked 2 best, shoot me), but it's a solid game deserving of the 8.5 it got.
Still I'd take Reach if I could only choose one, it just has a bit more longevity.
Probably Reach. Halo and Metroid are my two favourite franchises so it's tough. The thing about Other M though is that judging from the trailers, it seemed like atmosphere took a back seat to action, and thats a problem when you're playing a Metroid game.
Voice Acting isn't bad either, plus wasn't there an Option to change the Language for the Game?
It's far from being the worst Metroid. It's fast paced, intense, and it's a whole new breed of a beloved sci fi franchise. I hate the loss of the feeling of isolation, though, and I hate the voice acting and the story as well (Samus is so ****ing whiny!), although I'll admit I'm barely half an hour into the game, so... yeah,

Reach, Metroid looks like a great game, but a short singleplayer and not much else, vs a, probably fairly short too campaign but with a ton of multiplayer features and co-op on top of that means there's really no competition if I could only choose one.

well maybe though I'd lay the blame on Team Ninja since her image wasn't changed until they came on board No, it was Nintendo. Nintendo has a say in this, they would not have suddenly let Team Ninja make a big change like that for the franchise.
