Metroid Prime 2 vs Metroid Prime 3 comparision

prime 3 looks noticeably better when you watch the right video (one with decent quality)

the lighting is much better, samus character model has been given some extra shininess and glowy bits, areas are larger and more detailed, explosions and smoke effects look fantastic, there are less jaggies, it animates more smoothly (60 fps)

you will need to play the game in person for these things to become apparent, its not a huge upgrade but it looks about as improved as prime 1 to prime2 (also looks better than halo 2)

Out of all the 3d zelda games at least. Zelda MM, Zelda OOT, and Zelda WW are better games imo.numba1234

PDZ didn't look a Generation leap ahead of The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape From Butcher Bay but that didn't stop it either.

Oh well let's do this from another angle then... MP3:C doesn't look like it could have run on the GC at anything more then a Slide Show... That means this game shows at least some of the generational diffrence.

Also if youre still thinking that bashing Wii graphics is the way to go you should consider the fact that nobody bought it for graphics. They bought it because Nintendo games are so good they dont need great graphics.

Seriously, the lighting system would have crashed the GC. The Draw Distance despayed would have killed the GPU just for starters.

You're one in a million then. But the game still doesn't look that much better even to people with trained eyes, according to the video of course. I guess you could say I am proof of that.

IE if you know what your looking for, the improvments are there.

Framerate is noticably smoother... MP2 lagged sometimes during bosses and other actions... Is that a hint of motion blur as Samus turns or is it just poor video quality (or both, since the video quality is mediocre...)

The lighting is noticably better, nice use of bloom, and everything is clearer, more effects(you saw the missle launcher effect in the other trailer, nice smoke trails) and larger... And in widescreen...

Basically, the graphics are better than what I wanted to see every Wii game meet if not exceed... MP2

First it said there isn't that much of difference between MP3 and the previous games, and then it said that to the untrained eye, the game looks the same as the old ones. That suggests that to the trained eye, the game doesn't look that much better than the previous ones.

wow i just watched the video and yeah the look pretty much the same but both of them are gorgeous. i don't see how even the biggest graphics whores could think it looks BAD. the artstyle for both is increbidle and the bossess look absolutely epic. all of a sudden im not even jealous of 360/ps3 hardware, that looks more than fine to me

i might be crazy but that footage was more exciting and impressive to me than any halo 3 video out.

anyways i really liked the corruption footage. got me really hyped.

i really dont care if its improved or not it looks beautiful to me and i just watched a video of the bioshock demo not too long ago.

I liked Majoras Mask more than Ocarina of Time. That's the beauty of playing games and not worrying about what score it got. (Like most fanboys here on SW)
