Never have I been so excited for a game as much as I am for Corruption. Take a look at this developer walkthrough in HD(HD!?!? lawlz) from gametrailers and tell me it isn't going to be a raw as game!! It looks great & looks to play extremely well. What more could you ask for?!? Retro Studios has more than proved itself IMO!

It may be a lil bit of exaggeration when some sites say it could change how we play first person games, but whatever...

All I know is it's FPA goodness at it's finest!!

Personally, I was less than impressed. It looks exactly like the last 2 Metroid games & doesn't have online. I'll still pick it up & I'm glad you're all so stoked for it, but I don't think it's going to be as mindblowing as I was hoping for.

The control scheme doesn't change the fact that it still looks exactly like the last 2 games in the series & doesn't really seem to do anything new. Hope I'm wrong about it because I'm dying for good games on the Wii.

Yeah, I just don't feel like the series is going to get pushed forward enough. It's like when I look at Halo 3, and it looks like it just plays so similarly to Halo 2.

Well yeah it looks the same as Prime 1 and 2 its the same style and designers, but beyond that it looks much better graphically. Environments are larger and more detailed, same with character models, effects are more detailed, and lighting is better. The game is just better graphically, it cannot be denied, its pretty easy to see from good quality screens and vids and almost every single preview has stated how great it looks and that vids and screens do it no justice either. I dont think the game will dissapoint,

Gotcha! I'm hoping that after Prime, Retro can revive one of their older ideas(Thunder Car-Raven Blade etc) with the use of the Wii, meanwhile Metroid hopefully goes back to what I remember when I was a shorty, instead of just on the handhelds.

Well personally, I feel as if the leap from Metroid Prime/Echoes to Metroid Prime 3 just isnt sufficient enough. Yeah from the looks of it the Wiimote controls will definatly benefit Metroid and im almost certain its going to be a awesome game but my anticipation for Metroid Prime 3 isnt nearly as strong as my previous hype for Echoes.

The graphical differences are very small, IMO. Most screens and videos don't look like they'd be out of place in MP1 or MP2.

I think the stronger, more driving storyline could make this interesting, and help it stand out from the first two. The first one had very passive storyline, while the second was a little more interactive. This one sounds like it could have a very driving up to the minute storyline.

I looked at some screens and videos for MP1 & 2... they look the same as the vids for 3, as in too much bloom, and everythings really blurry. This is one series where you have to see it in motion.

Exploration is the very core of all the Metroid games and was one of themanyreasons why Metroid(NES) and Super Metroid was praised.

They're completely different games. At least Metroid Prime is something unusual. Halo, as good as it is, is quite generic.

Metroid Prime 3 will be good but it could have been way better on a system with power. The graphics look like jagged plastic, the areas are small and cramped, and the enemy AI is brain dead stupid.

That's what I'm saying. Like, I understand what he and others mean, cause the HUD design is pretty much the same along with the upgrade icons, but in motion, as those who have played it have testified, whether cause of bloom lighting or whatnot, it looks SUPREMELY well in motion, in person.I remember the skeptics who said the same aboutEchoes, and I remember after everyone played it,most said it looked better than Halo 2.

Either way, Meotrid Prime 3 Corruptionsis but anothertestament to what graphical output can be achieved on the Wii, instead of shoddy ports, not to mention the gameplay.

I'm glad it doesn't have multiplayer, because it would suck. Adventure games do not lend themselves well to multiplayer.

I agree. Neither deathmatch nor cooperative play would work with Metroid Prime. It could be done though. Hunters had really good multiplayer.

lol

You don't understand how much of a gripe I had with the AI being so easy, even when you'd unlock the harder modes. Yea they'd take more shots and their shots are more powerful, but they still did the same ol dance. There were some baddies that had real good AI, but out of all the ones that didn't, it was a lil to easy. You know?

I lol at the supposed Metroid fans that complain about lack of multiplayer, lawl, gtfo of this thread.

Apart from the AI (not fear standerd I admit), Metroid Prime 3 is my number 1 Wii game atm (Followed by No more Heroes and Galaxy) the game imo looks amazing in my opinion and finally they are deviating from the *Land on planet, trip over and drop everything down a drain* type gameplay, also Metroid Prime 3 looks alot more epic with massive space battles and a more cinimatic feel.

I do hope though they fix up the AI, but it will do.

wake me up when a wii brings out a non-kiddy gameNokia_N95

Metroid in kiddy? I must been mistaking it, I thought it was a suited chick blasting away aliens and so. I must be wrong, let me guess peppermind beams against teddy bears?

[QUOTE="Elviathan"]The game does look like it's going to be a great title for the Wii, but the lack of multi-player disappoints me due to the fact that it's the year 2007 and Nintendo hasn't really determine what their online is going to be. Lilac_Benjie

I'm glad it doesn't have multiplayer, because it would suck. Adventure games do not lend themselves well to multiplayer.

I agree. Neither deathmatch nor cooperative play would work with Metroid Prime. It could be done though. Hunters had really good multiplayer.

Straight up!! It'd be like as if Bioshock were to have some sort of multiplay only to apease, becausethese kind of games aremeant to be explored with a feeling of loneliness, whatever.

Though this time around I suppose you actually talk/interact with your employer more than in the other 2.
