What else would you compare it against? It doesn't even look much better than last gen systems.  Lets just agree its not a graphically powerhouse. 

Comparing pics onine does no justice my friend. Go watch some vids on MP2 and MP3 (which is still be developed) and tell me there's no difference....Gaming4_Life

Don't see much of a difference between the two graphically.... this doesn't look like the graphical showpiece for the Wii that everyone says that it will. Yeah I understand that it will have the waggle controls, but is it really going to make the game that much more "fun"?

I even think the HUD in MP3 is a bit of a worse design IMO...

MP3 looks a little crisper and less fuzzy, but I know the game will look better in motion.

Besides, who bought a Wii to be floored by great graphics? MP3 will have great atmosphere. Nice effects, art design, and sound. ESPECIALLY sound. Those pics don't fully touch on those points.

I hope you are right...but remember when Nintendo showed "gameplay" footage of Twilight Princess a year b4 it's release.  Those 1st couple of trailers shown for it had better graphics in most of the environments (accept for the twilight world).  In the final product, most of the graphics were downgraded.  I hope MP3 has graphics better than MP2.  If it doesn't, then I will be disappointed in Retro Studios, and will question whether a game can ever surpass Gamecube graphics on Wii.  

 

Come on, it's the Wii!  It's a friggin' GameCube 1.1, LOL!  Nintendo failed you sheep!

Look at the pics closer. The MP2 screens look better.. I see lots of jaggies in MP3.. So.. It could be the resolution on the pics... it could be the resisation....

It looks to me like the MP2 pics were taken on regular interlaced TV (in fact you can see the interlacing in the first shot), which are naturally blurry and usually cover up jaggies.  Trust me, on an HDTV MP2 looks just like the MP3 pics. 

It looks much better in motion..I don't see the point in using screenshots to compare graphics.sparklebarkle

It's not all of a sudden. Video has always been the best way of seeing what a game looks like and how well it runs, at least with 3D. All screens show you is art but games are meant to be in motion. This isn't like we are viewing 2D games were the backgrounds were static and or painted and didn't move and the characters were spirits. 3D is a different story and you need actual footage. We aren't playing the games frame by frame and that's all you are getting with a still image. This is why jaggies don't matter at all to me cause when the game is in motion and you are playing you won't be seeing them since the game is running normally. What the game looks like in a single frame shouldn't matter, only the end result should I feel.

The game looks good, but it does not look that different from MP2, and it doesn't look like it could not be pulled off on the GCN.

Go see the videos. It look so much better in motion. Pictures don't help as much as videos.
