I wouldn't make a huge deal about that. It's possible you could purchase clothes, gear and some other shit that doesn't affect gameplay.

60 dollar games shouldn't have microtransactions, that's some bullshit, especially since MGO is pretty neato and has cool ideas. Regardless of that short coming (that nasty ass short coming) I still believe that the single player will be beast, and the best game this year.

Modern gamings isn't very good.

The only "season pass" I have seen in years that is actually worth it are the expansion packs that will be coming for The Witcher 3.

That's how it was with MGS4 (more specifically, MGO2). You could unlock a lot of shit, or you could simply just buy it. All superficial stuff, no affect on gameplay.

I doubt it's going to be for anything significant. Probably just cosmetic stuff for MGO. At any rate, this doesn't deter me one bit from getting this game on release, and I can always just not buy them.

It's a shame we can't see the same thoughtful consideration about microtransactions not being threatening to the gaming experience in other threads, like whenever someone says that X game is getting microtransaction and everyone explodes like it was Pee-wee's secret word of the day.

When have micro-transactions ever ruined a game for anybody? Seriously, I've ignored micro-transactions for Mass Effect, Battlefield, Evolve, Dead Space, Team Fortress 2, Gears of War, and so on. I've never bought into micro-transactions for any of these games, and I have never felt like my gaming experience was ruined because of them.
