First off opinions, second, halo? lol.... You´ve just insulted MGS in a way you´ll never understand. Halo doesn´t come close to being the game MGS is, halo is another fun fps with good multiplayer, MGS is unique, there is no competitor, the game being so unique makes it hard for it to be loved by everyone. I started playing Halo 1 on the pc this week and it´s awful, go play MGS1 and you´ll still be impressed.

I remember MGS 1, and it was nothing spectacular.... craptacular maybe..... HALO1 was amazing!

MGS was crap on the NES, PS1, PS2 and I doubt the trend will change with the PS3..... I'm sure the story is very engaging, but thats why we have movies, I want to play my games, not watch them, sry.

I do enjoy MGS's game play, but couldn't care less about Kojima's preaching on political issues (nuclear proliferation, waste disposal,etc) that really bog the game down with unnecessary dialogue and cut-scenes. Do I care about these things? Sure I do, but not when I'm playing a game.

I have to say I'm glad this is the last one in the series. I mean, who actually really cares about the underlying themes in this game? They are simply tolerated to get to what has always made MGS so enjoyable: cool game play.

So save your preaching for the choir, Kojima.....I honestly couldn't care less.

You could say it values fun as well as graphics, unlike a certain tom clancy game that it is always being compared to.

I actually completed the first splinter cell game, but my real issue is, i couldnt be arsed to understand such a lame story. What was the story? I dont know, thats why it is lame; the game didnt do enough to show you what it was you were actually doing. You cant get through an MGS without only just believable and brink of insane things happening, but then elaberates with the finest attention to detail, mixed with some of the best and most realistic graphics out there.

At the end of the day, making yourself seen by a brigade of enemies and taking them all on at once is stupid, but snake never does that so I guess you may have been mistaken there.

It is not terrible, it´s one of the few games that has such a strong narrative and plot, it mixes "real life" issues, with fantasy based characters, very few games do such a good job on it´s story, very few games confuse me and twist my brain around while playing as MGS does.
