[QUOTE="Wiimotefan"]MGS4 10 > MGS2 9.6 GS MGS4 10 > MGS2 9.7 IGN. Sorry, MGS2 is my second favourite in the series and was the first Metal Gear game I played, only reason I played it was because it got a 9.6 and I wanted to find out what made this game a 9.6 as I thought it looked crappy, then I fell in love with the series. So MGS2 is a bucket full of nostaligia. A good, high AAA one of best games of 2001 game it is; but a AAAA, definitely best game of the generation it is not; unlike MGS4. MGS2 sold what, 7 million across PS2 (150 million install base) XBOX (25 million) and PC (millions) MGS4 sold 6 million on the PS3 alone, which is 50% more than MGS3 which also was PS- exclusive (until 3DS port in 2011) Sales=/= quality but what I meant is that MGS4 widened the audience..So Mozelleple, here we are again in another MGS4 topic and you singing praises, telling everyone who disagrees they're wrong and ignoring my posts.
Remember when you said MGS4 was best in series due to sales and scores, but never responded when I brought up MGS2 higher sales and better scores? Still waiting for that response.
And since you're here and you are all knowing when it comes to MGS, could you maybe try to explain at least a few of the points I brought up in my previous post?
Thanks bud. :)

MGS2 = 96 @ Metacritic.
MGS4 = 94 @ Metacritic.
Metal Gear Solid 2 almost hit the 7 million mark when it was still a PS2 exclusive and while the PS2 install base was under 20 million. I thought a hard core MGS fan like yourself would know this. And MGS4 sold 6 mil? :lol: Show me that link bud.
And you are the one that initially implied sales = quality, not me.
But all that nonsense aside, I'd like to hear what you think of the previous points I brought up in this thread.
Nier disagrees.foxhound_foxDon't talk about a sysytem or game you have never played. As for the thread, its an awesome game but IMO not the best this gen.

Exactly, SMG 97> MGS4 94 on metacritic. Looks like most critics don't agree.

What's this metacritic bullsh**? GS gave the right ORDER of score values to the Metal Gear franchises (MGS4 > 2 > 3 >1) but they completely underrated 1&3, digustingly so.. Which is why I use the secondary game source for video games; IGN. IGN has got the entire metal gear franchise correctly reviewed. No bullsh!t edge/eurogamer reviews bringing down scores.. no pisspoor GS reviews on 1 // 3 MGS4: 10 MGS1: 9.8 MGS2: 9.7 MGS3 9.6 Seriously I could hardly agree more. I think my opinion goes like this: MGS4: 11/10 MGS2: 10/10 MGS1: 9.9/10 MGS3: 9.8/10 I think a factual scoring line would go like this: MGS4: 10 MGS1 9.9 MGS2 9.8 MGS3: 9.7 So IGN is basically spot-on with all 4. Lol'd @ metacritic argumentGamepsot on the other hand COMPLETELY messed up their reviews, I don't even know what they were thinking (MGS4 is 100% spot-on) MGS2 is completely fine, but my f-ing god what did MGS1/3 do to the reviewers families to make them review like that :? :?
MGS4: 10 (Agreed)
MGS2 9.6 (I'll agree to this as well)
MGS3: 8.8 (Are you fvcking kidding me???)
MGS1: 8.5 (can't be serious :lol: )

MGS4 has the best story in any video game, BUT NOOOOPE, YOU WON'T ACCEPT.
MGS4 has the best voice acting in any video.. DERP, WON'T ACCEPT.
MGS4 has the best soundtracks in any video game; REJECTED BY YOU AGAIN.
Everything negative you say about MGS4 in reality is the exact opposite.
Your saying the best storyline in gaming is terrible, you're saying a superlative plot is the worst you've seen, etc etc..
Just face it. Both IGN and GS agree, MGS4 is the best in the franchise, which says a lot as it is the 7th iteration of the best franchise in the world.

Oh my god, hell yes they were! lol.
And I haven't heard those names in a while. I think OnslaughtX still posts on occasion, but hes busy working at Insomniac now. Lionhart basically predicted everything that would go wrong in MGS4, laughed at everyone after launch and disappeared. I saw CamoSnake trolling some guys last week if you remember him. All the other vets are long gone as far as I know.
And I'd rather not share my name, sorry lol.

You seem to know a bit about MGS4 and not sh*t regarding the rest of the series, which is probably why you didnt take issue with MGS4.
Gotta head out for a bit, so you can take this time to form a coherant argument.
