So it'd be another game taht takes what 2 days to beat on the 360?dotWithShoes
MGS4 took me 22 hours to beat on Solid Normal not rushing through. I can beat most other games in 10-15 hours or less not rushing through.
The only way audio would take a hit to someone is if they had a sound system that can take advantage of uncompressed audio in the first place. Most people are not there yet. Its not like DD surround sounds like an old wind up record player! sheesh!audio would take a hit. they would also have to edit out content.
other than that it is totally possible.
and yea there should be a sticky imo

Bingo. MGS4 is like 580p or something and only 33 GB or something. Go google it.
lawl reverse cycology nice try. mgs4 isn't 1080p, for sure, but the single player is at least 720p. and it most definately is 50 gigs.

Even then, the audio is uncompressed.
And im pretty sure it also contains all the languages. So that could be cut down a lot for different regions.
 No it isn't!
A. MGS 4 is not 720p native, this has already been discussed multiple times.I believe Beyond 3d showed that it wasn't and is upscaled to 720p and 1080p.
B. Both the 360 and the PS3 are capable of native 1080p resolution
C. The audio in MGS 3 is uncimpressed and ships in one language only per region. Kojima said that himself.
D. MGS 4 dos not take up the entire 50 gig disk. It's more like 35 gigs. The reason for the dual layer disk is because:
35> 25 therefore the dual layer disk is needed.Space is you only get one language on the disk in your region.
E. MGS 4 will probably not show up on the 360.There is no proof that it will so people should just wait until something official is said. The same goes for FF 13.

Hopefully you're referring to the multiplayer aspect. There was a thread that posted MGS4's resolution and framerate and shown that it was 720p native.
The power of the Cell has produced a 10 on PS3. What does the 360 have that compares. Oh and dont say Gears because my PC version is better than the 360 version. Just like Gear 2 will be.
Hey you are the guy that rags on PS3 all the time. You are becomming a joke on SW.

1366 x 720 is 720p native. The game runs at 1024 x 768, which is still within the 720p range, it just isn't native.how about the brain of Kojima. If the cell was responsible you'd have a hell of a lot more games that scored a 10. Instead you got 2 and one is on the 360.The power of the Cell has produced a 10 on PS3. Okay.
If you click the link in the first post, theres proof. A pic showing the contents on the blu ray disc. Give up, cut yourself loose from the sony hype.
NiTiZ
I think that a report from the people who actually made the game is more trustyworth, though.
are you kidding me? the pixels were counted by 3 different independent sources. ALL came back 1024x768, subHD. to examine the content of the BR disk one just has to put it in a PC BRD. something like 60-70% of the disk is also filled with uncompressed 7.1 audio. something nobody needs.
this game would do fine on 360, in fact it might be able to hit a higher resolution due to better / quicker compression that is used and less of a memory bottleneck.

1024x 768 isn't sub HD. But I agree, with some tweaking here abd there it could be done on a 360. And I believe Hideo already said that. I don't know why people are clinging to that BS.[QUOTE="mixedplanet"]ps3 cant do 1080p native....EVOLV3

Another fanboy stupid topic.
Both consoles can do 1080p. So what show me a graphically demanding game like mgs4 or gta4 or gears or uncharted that is at 1080p native reolution ( exactly there arent any ). Though there are a few games that run at 1080p but they are not demanding. So what if sony or microsoft say that their consoles are 1080p capable so does my old crappy 6600gt is 1080p capable ( actually is even more considering that almost every vga from 2002 and afterwards can output 2560x1920 resolution) that doesnt make it capable playing games at that resolution ( but some 2004,2005 that arent demanding titles can do them at 1080p ) And as for losless audio no one can really understand the difference between losless audio and and a compress audio format that will reduce the audio data to half the size unless has a $3k-4k sound system and has excellent hearing ( about half the ps3 fanboys in these forum )
This is just as inaccurate as console fanboys saying you need a 2000 dollar PC to play Crysis. I built up a 7.1 audio system for under a grand. And as for losless audio no one can really understand the difference between losless audio and and a compress audio format that will reduce the audio data to half the size unless has a $3k-4k sound system and has excellent hearing ( about half the ps3 fanboys in these forum )

Come on, it's probably one of the industrys worst kept secrets that this game will be announced as a maltiplat. Rockstar made $500 million off of GTA IV mainly thanks to the 360. Do you think Konami will even come close keeping it on PS3?
It'll be announced at the end of MS's initial E3 speech, PS fankids will cry, yet 360 owners won't care because we expect more out of our games then long cutscenes...

My opinion is that even if the audio in mgs4 had a low compresion codec that reduced the size a lot not alot of people will understand the difference and even if u understand it the difference is probably negligible

agreed, but you really can tell the difference in MGS 4. The sound is incredible in the game. That still isn't native 720p. The native resolution for a 720p picture is 1366 x 720. Maybe you actually have some knowledge of a subject before you try and talk about it..And nobody is disputing the excellence of this game. I'm going through my second playthrough RIGHT NOW.
