MGS4 or Halo 3 : Which One You Enjoyed The Most?

Played both, liked Halo 3 more overall.

MGS4 when I rented it was a lot more fun than the splinter-cell games, but multiplayer was awful. The cutscenes were far too long and if Half-Life has taught us anything, it's that you don't need cutscenes to tell a good story. Sure, it was pretty epic, but you can get that feeling from a movie or a book(I sometimes read books from a Lego series called Bionicle, and it's just as epic as the story of MGS4). If I had bought it I would certainly play it again for the unlockables, but trade it in after that.

Halo 3 had a very disappointing single-player, although playing 4 player co-op with skulls on sure is a blast. I don't play much of the story mode anymore, as it's boring now. Multiplayer is where Halo 3 keeps it's ace card. 7 new maps so far, weekly playlist changes, forge maps and new gametypes make people put down COD4 and go play Halo 3 at a freinds house. The only reason I don't play more COD4 is because of Halo 3.

i haven't played MGS4, but I've played Halo 3 and thought it was just only a little above average.

from what I've seen from MGS4, it looks like it's the clear winner between the two.

It's a tough choice but i think i'm going to have to go with MGS4, brilliant game.

It's very close though.

I enjoyed MGS4 most. It's rare to find a single player experience as good as that, the best this generation IMO. Multiplayer was decent, not good not bad and honestly I don't play it really.

Halo 3 has a decent single player but it just delivered the same experience as Halo 1 with a weaker story so it was nothing new. I pretty much only play it on co-op. Multiplayer is great, but it's there isn't a lack of any great FPS multiplayer games; eg: COD4, TF2. Fun game, not better than MGS4 though.

since im not a mgs fan, purchasing MGS4 is my only regret this gen.... since i dont play MGO, its only worth a rental, IMO of course

exactly, other games aren't nearly as eep and compelling.

Its MP vs SP for me, MGS4 for story mode and Halo 3 obviously for MP, impossible to compare.

Metal Gear Solid 4 for Single player
Halo 3 for Multiplayer

Metal Gear Solid 4 overall because I LOVED the story more, i was hooked, it had all the nostalgia.

IT was epic and to great for words :)

but no seriousaly overall I LOVED MGS 4 more, where as I love Halo 3 I still expected more from it.

Halo 3, MGS4 was good, but halo never gets old (multiplayer).

Halo3's MP kills MGO

Halo has a fun factor that MGS4 lacks since I love playing with my friends but overall MGS4 is the better game IMO since the SP set a new bar for future games.

It was never hyped as a gears of war killer because its a fps not a third person shooter. And it did not flop. Go metacritic. It says "generally favorable reviews". Which means it didn't flop. Stop being a fanboy.

I never said Halo 3 was a bad game, but as soon as you compare it to MGS4, Halo 3 doesn't seem all that great.

lol? Resistance got an 86 percent score from 70 reviews. That means it flopped? A score of 86 is not a flop. Its like saying i flopped and failed hard on a math test because i got an 86% lol
