[QUOTE="ironcreed"] LOL, well considering that this is part of the game, I think it will contribute towards making it a better production as a whole. But, just because they put so much time into the opening movie, you just automatically conclude that the game itself is getting less attention? Again, I think they know what they are doing. Besides, just who are you to tell Kojima Productions that "they need to get their priorities straight?"

I'm referring to the "game" as in the "gameplay". And like it or not, it's still a possibility that they're giving more attention to the cutscenes and story than the gameplay. I'm hoping they're not doing that, but if they are, they need to get their priorities straight. The game (or gameplay if you're going to get technical with me) needs to come first.
That last comment is just priceless. This entire board is meant for commentary on the industry. You can apply that to just about every thread or topic ever made on this board. Who are we to criticize Microsoft for having defective consoles? Who are we to criticize the third party on the Wii? Who are we to criticize the lengths of games? You say that to me, you go ahead and say it to everyone else on this board.
Sure, anythings possible, I have to give you the benefit of the doubt there. But considering Kojima's reputation, level of talent, huge expectations for this game from Konami, Sony and all of the fans, and also the fact that the movie sequences are being done separately by a completely different portion of the team, while Kojima and another portion of KP work on the gameplay, I think it more than stands to reason that it will all gel just fine.
As for your last comment, lol. Sure, it is easy for you to just spin my question by trying to use the justification of what everyone else says in here. I am well aware of all of the bashing and criticism that goes on in System Wars, and yes, this is indeed a board for commentary on the industry. But, for the sake of the conversation at hand, I was merely questioning what made you think that you were in any sort of authoritive position, or what credible reasons do you have to tell a development team that has the stature of Kojima Productions to get their priorities straight, when their track record thus far speaks for itself? Especially since MGS4 is supposed to be the proverbial 'cherry on top' of the cake that they have already built.
