Totally thought I was going to walk into a pachinko nightmare.
My pc's updating to windows 10 right now so I'll watch it later.
Honestly expected something more like the Nuclear and Elegia trailers. This felt more like a "traditional" game trailer. Some of the new Sutherland lines were cool though, he sounds great
Yeah, definitely the weakest trailer of the bunch. Feels rushed together, but still cool.
At least they showed a new locale. Still Africa, but more like a savanna area than the jungle setting shown before. Looks like CQC might get a bit more complex as well.
Mother base development video should be coming up soon.
"An end to an era"
GOTY
Did I just see Psycho Mantis or am I crazy?
WHERE YOU BEEN BRUH?
Yeah, he's been in every trailer I believe. I think he's gonna be little Liquids homie.

BRUH, I DUNNO!
I've watched every trailer so far and never saw him. :S
I was willing to give sutherland a chance, but after this trailer i can finally say, that David Hayter should have come back. Bad choice by Hideo Kojima.

Difference between Sutherland and Hayter is that Sutherland can actually act. Hayter just tries too damn hard to sound rugged and gritty to the point of silliness. He's absolutely terrible in MGS4.

Yeah, Hayter was always over the top, which was fine, but the dude can't even pull off the voice anymore. The last time he did a decent Snake voice was 11 years ago in Snake Eater. The last time he did a great Snake voice was 14 years ago MGS2.
Now he just sounds like a caricature of himself. Listen to some MGS1 dialogue and the listen to some Peace Walker. The shit is horrible.
The only "bad choice" Kojima made was letting that shit go on for so long. Big Boss should've had a different VA from the start. At least we're getting someone decent for the final game.
It's easy to tell Kojima is gone from watching that trailer, it felt rushed and disjointed, the generic Epic music didn't help.
I really hope Kojima made sure Konami couldn't **** this game up.
Being a huge fan of the series, I honestly can't wait for this game to release... As others pointed out, Sutherland is doing a great job with the voice acting..

Yeah they even awkwardly cut/pasted Ocelots voice. Amateur sound editing all over the place and some really poor shots of the game.
Definitely not a Kojima trailer.

Luckily the game was basically finished when Kojima left so we know the quality for the game is there...

Oh definitely man. Games been done for months now and Kojima was adjusting difficulty and bug squashing ever since. Previewers said it felt like the most polished open world game they've played.
Nothing to worry about.
The last Konami game I'll ever buy, end of an era indeed.
I want to give Kojima my money, but **** Konami.
damn I'm conflicted right now.

Well if the game sells like shit then Konami feels validated in their decisions. If it sells very well then they might feel like a pile of asses.
That's how I'm looking at it anyways. Konami won't be hurt either way, they're already exiting this shit as it is. I'd just like for them to feel a bit stupid about it on the way out.
This trailer wasn't made by Kojima, was it? You can clearly see a huge difference between all previous trailers and this thing. Excited for the game but this wasn't a good trailer.

True but either way we'll be receiving a bastardized version of MGS. Annualization is a very real strategy especially with a ready made engine if this does well in the same line as COD.
What a dark future we have before us, full of pachinko machines and asshole CEO's.
I'm looking forward to Phantom Pain. I think I'll get it day one or even earlier as a reviewer's copy.
I think it's going to be a good game based on its own merits, not the nostalgia factor.
This is going to be amazing. Can't wait for my collector's edition, which, coincidentally, is not available to PC gamers.

What's stopping a Metal Gear fan who wants to commemorate the end of the series from buying the collector's edition and the PC version?
@soapandbubbles: yeah I'm not digging Kieffer for the voice.
As far as this trailer goes, I'm sold but don't turn me the other way with this opera production.
Gamescom demo
Crazy lighting and detail to everything. look at the detail on the dog and his animation. looks like real life no kidding.
Your crew react to how you smell lol so you should take showers.
SNAKE YOU STINK.

I'm getting constant video buffering, what the hell :(
Oh man that was amazing, this games turning out to be the best game ever made.
I can't wait to see how personnel I send into the field can interact with my mission, having a squad of soldiers taking orders or used as a distraction while I take on the main objective.
Shit Kojima, I eagerly await your kickstarter.
Honestly expected something more like the Nuclear and Elegia trailers. This felt more like a "traditional" game trailer. Some of the new Sutherland lines were cool though, he sounds great
because those trailers were directed and edited by Kojima him self, not this one.
The FOB gameplay is seriously looking like one of the most ambitious yet polished online multiplayer experiences in a game. Just mindblowing to me that we're getting this AND MGO3 later on.
lol it really is crazy. They've shown so many amazing features and options for this game that I can't even keep up. It's like they thought of everything. And in typical Kojima fashion, I doubt we've even seen half of what will be available.
****, even the little things I wanted are making it in. A while back I posted something about how cool it would be if weather could be manipulated. And sure enough, BOOM, they just announced that that's a feature. So if I want every mission to be a night mission in the rain, eventually I can do that shit.
It's like you can customize every aspect of the experience. Weapons, gadgets, uniforms, vehicles, buddies, time, weather, your base, the order in which you play some missions, or even the character you choose to play as. They might as well just call it Freedom: The Game.
There is just too much awesomeness emanating from this game. Something has to go wrong at some point lol.
There are no words. I've spoiled myself by seeing heaps of gameplay footage and Kojima-edited trailers yet I know for a fact that when I actually play the game it's going to be overwhelming in scope and customization. The level of freedom you're going to have will be unprecedented for a console game, and the replay value will be next to limitless. And it's not like there's any concern for how it will play mechanically either, because Ground Zeroes is cold hard proof that the game will feel magnificent.
For the life of me I cannot see any other game this year topping it.
This may likely be the first MGS game I ever buy. My friends are MGS fanatics and have offered to lend me all the others to play through but I'm just not willing to commit that amount of time.
One friend then tried to explain the MGS story to me after I asked about it...lol...an hour later he sort of threw up his hands and said "I give up!"
game play is simply AMAZING ! have already pre ordered it and just waiting eagerly for sep 1 . but it's sad that this is the last game :(
@93BlackHawk93:
lol damn it man. People already getting salty over a rumor that started as a joke among fans.
I'm fully prepared for the flood of tears when this game launches. I think Kojima is going to offend every crybaby group on the planet. It's going to be great.
I think I'll recruit an all female staff at mother base and then upload videos of me walking around practicing CQC on them while smoking a cigar. Just to add fuel to the fire.
